Allegrini Valpolicella 2025 750ml
Allegrini is one of the Veneto’s most celebrated family estates — a benchmark producer in Valpolicella Classica, where some 150 hectares of exclusively estate-owned vineyards across the Fumane, Marano, and Negrar valleys yield wines of extraordinary typicity and precision. Led by Marilisa Allegrini, one of Italy’s most respected women in wine, the estate has built its reputation on wines that honor the ancient Veronese tradition while expressing the full potential of Corvina and its blending companions with elegance and freshness.
The Valpolicella DOC is the estate’s entry into the Allegrini world — a vibrant, light-bodied red that showcases the liveliness, crunch, and herbal complexity of Valpolicella Classica at its most drinkable. James Suckling rewarded the 2025 with 92 points, calling out its tension, crispness, and layered complexity. Easy to love, endlessly versatile at the table.
"Layered and light-bodied, showing assertive roasted black peppercorns with red cherries and plums enhanced by orange zest. Shining with tension, the crisp, crunchy palate is well balanced overall." — James Suckling, 92 pts. (Vintage 2025).

Expert Reviews - Prior Vintage 2023
James Suckling 91 Points | Reductive aromas of violets and camphor segue to black cherries and licorice root. This needs an aggressive decant, but the mouthfeel is polished and slick. The tannins are well wrought and compact. A full-weighted wine in a modern style that will have its fans. Sustainable. Drink or hold.
Wine Enthusiast 90 Points | Tart cherries and raspberries mingle with dried oregano and thyme on the nose. Earthy undertones and fine tannins grace the palate, as bright cherry flavors are added by vibrant acidity to lift the wine on the finish.
