The Gold Edition is the pinnacle of Barkan's Reserve Series — a special edition of exceptional wines with a unique character, crafted from the finest fruit the estate has to offer. The Chardonnay is sourced from the Bekoa Vineyard in the Judean Foothills, a region prized for its elevation, limestone-rich soils, and the natural freshness it imparts to white wines. The Judean Foothills' combination of warm days and cool nights creates ideal conditions for Chardonnay of concentration and aromatic complexity.
Following harvest, the wine is aged for six months in oak barrels, developing richness, texture, and a creamy depth while preserving the natural vibrancy of the fruit. The result is a full-flavored, well-structured Chardonnay with genuine complexity and a long, satisfying finish.
The 2024 Gold Edition Chardonnay is rich and full-flavored, with aromas of ripe stone fruit, vanilla, and toasted oak.
