Producer & Terroir
Dr. Bürklin-Wolf is a historic estate in Germany’s Pfalz, with roots reaching back to the 17th century. Under Bettina Bürklin-von Guradze, the estate converted fully to biodynamic farming in 2005. Its approach emphasizes farming without synthetic inputs, attention to lunar cycles and hand harvesting, with a focus on expressing the character of its vineyards.
Vintage & Winemaking
The 2025 Estate Riesling comes from young vines across the estate. More than half was made in large oak, contributing to a wine with concentration, textural definition and bright freshness.
Tasting Notes
Peach is tempered by fragrant quince and citrus. The palate is fresh and zesty, with clear fruit, a textured sense of grip and a bone-dry profile. It is a focused, food-friendly expression of Pfalz Riesling.

Vinous, 91 Points · 2025
The 2025 Riesling comes from young vines across the estate. Peach is tempered and perfumed with quince and citrus. More than half of this was made in large oak and bounces with freshness, with a beautiful, zesty texture and wonderful, customary clarity. This has proper concentration and grip. (Bone-dry)
Pairing Suggestions
Try with grilled fish, oysters, sushi, roast chicken, soft cheeses or asparagus. The wine’s citrus character and dry finish make it a versatile companion at the table.

Expert Reviews - Prior Vintages 2024, 2022
James Suckling — 92 Points
“Abundant peach and Amalfi lemon fruit, plenty of structure and bright mineral acidity on the juicy, medium-bodied palate. Pronounced preserved lemon and salt flavors in the long finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Vegan.” (Vintage 2024).
Vinous — 90 Points
“A very subtle flicker of flint accompanies bright citrus and crushed citrus foliage. The palate brings the typical Pfalz juiciness with some stone fruit, but the lemon overtone is a constant in this vivid, bone-dry expression.”-------(Vintage 2024).
Stuart Pigott writes: ripe stone fruit character emerges more and more with each swirl of the glass. A generous mouthful of extremely harmonious dry riesling. A touch of fine tannin deftly supports the finish. A good two-thirds fermented in stainless steel, the remainder in large neutral oak. From biodynamically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold. Screw cap. James Suckling 92. (Vintage 2024).
Ann Krebiehl MW writes: The 2022 Riesling is picked mainly in Wachenheim and Ruppertsberg with a little Deidesnheim. About a third was fermented spontaneously in Doppelstück, the rest in stainless steel, partly spontaneous, partly with their own isolated yeast strain. The nose initially is a double take of apple juice: intense, fruity, bright, then a hint of yeast follows, settling on pear and lemon. The palate has real tension and freshness. It's salty, apple-juicy and concentrated, yet bone-dry with proper tension. (Bone-dry) Drinking 2023 -2035. Vinous 90. (Vintage 2022).
Stephan Reinhardt writes: Sourced in Wachenheim and Ruppertsberg, the 2022 Riesling Trocken is intensely yellow in color and offers saline notes of yellow and green apples intertwined with finely stony aromas. Very elegant and with lush, refined fruit, this is a substantial dry Riesling with moderate body and a stringent and still young but promising finish with muscles. This should be cellared for another year, if possible, or open the bottle a day or two before you consume it to let it breathe. 12% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023. Drinking 2024 -2040. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 90. (Vintage 2022).
Kristen Bieler writes: A rounder version, with a honeyed edge to flavors of spiced apple, juicy lemon and nectarine. Bone dry and focused through the palate, offering pithy acidity that makes for a mouthwatering, chiseled close. Drink now. - Wine Spectator. (Vintage 2022).
