Founded in 2014, The Shed Distillery was the first new distillery in Connacht in over 100 years. Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is the result of years of patient craft — a slow-distilled gin that blends Eastern-inspired botanicals with the pure spring waters of the Arigna Mountains, creating a spirit as distinctive as the landscape that inspires it.
The gin takes its name from Gunpowder tea — a Chinese green tea whose rolled leaves resemble old gunpowder pellets — which is slow-steeped alongside an exotic blend of botanicals including Oriental grapefruit, meadowsweet, and caraway seeds. The result is a gin of remarkable complexity: bold citrus and floral notes on the nose, a bright, spice-forward palate, and a long, warming finish at 86 proof (43% ABV). Exceptional neat, on the rocks, or in a premium G&T.
