Planted in 1975 to Wente-selection Chardonnay, Olivet Lane Vineyard occupies sloping benchland in the Russian River Valley’s Santa Rosa Plain, between the warmer Westside Road area and cooler Green Valley. Warm days give way to chilly evenings, while coastal breezes and regular fog help preserve the grapes’ natural acidity. Well-drained loam and clay soils further contribute to a vineyard expression known for both concentration and finesse.
The long, cool 2023 growing season allowed the fruit additional time to develop flavor and complexity. The resulting Chardonnay captures Olivet Lane’s distinctive balance: generous fruit, graceful texture, and refreshing energy.
