The 2025 is open and aromatic, with ripe citrus, white stone fruit and subtle herbal nuances. The palate is rounded and harmonious, offering satisfying depth balanced by lively freshness. A chalky, saline character adds definition, carrying the fruit into a long, mouthwatering finish. It is a welcoming Sancerre with enough complexity to keep every glass interesting.
Sourced from several parcels within Chavignol, the Tradition cuvée reflects the village’s distinctive Kimmeridgian soils. Fermented naturally without added yeasts and aged in tank, it preserves the clarity of its fruit and the character of its vineyard origins.
The Boulay family’s winegrowing roots in Chavignol date back to 1380. Gérard has farmed organically since 1990 and harvests entirely by hand, bringing the same careful attention to this village cuvée as to the domaine’s celebrated single-vineyard wines.
