Klinker Brick Winery has been farming Lodi's ancient vineyards for over a century, with some blocks dating back more than 120 years. The Old Vine Zinfandel is the winery's flagship — now in its 20th consecutive vintage — and a true expression of what makes Lodi one of California's most compelling Zinfandel regions. Cool Delta breezes and morning fog moderate the warm growing season, preserving the bright acidity that sets Klinker Brick apart from riper, jammier styles.
The 2022 Old Vine Zinfandel opens with aromas of dark cherry and warm spice, with the concentration that only century-old, extremely low-yielding vines can deliver. On the palate, notes of plum and cranberry unfold alongside a hint of black pepper, balanced by above-average acidity and a structure built through barrel fermentation. Complex, layered, and endlessly food-friendly.

The 20th vintage of Klinker Brick's flagship Zinfandel, where it all started! This wine is made from vineyard blocks up to 120 years old. Delta breezes and the associated fog allow us to retain above average acidity for the region, providing aromas of dark cherry and spices on the nose. Barrel fermentation provides additional structure to a thin skinned varietal. The extremely low yields of century old vineyards bring notes of plum and cranberry, with a hint of black pepper. The result is a balanced and complex Zinfandel perfect for both Summer barbecues and Fall fire pits.
