James Suckling 92 Points | A very fresh and lively malbec that shows subtle spices, herbs, fresh blueberries and cherries. Pristine, fresh and vibrant on the palate with fresh, soft tannins and a solid, fruit-expressive finish. 70% valle de uco and 30% agrelo. Already appealing, with lots of fruit. (VIntage 2022)

The Wine Advocate 90 Points | The 2022 Don Nicanor Malbec is a tremendous value, opening with a balanced bouquet of dark fruit, crushed stones and a touch of woody complexity. The palate is similarly svelte and creamy, concluding with a solid, grippy finish driven by an even-keeled minerality. (Vintage 2022).

The Wine Advocate 91 Points | The 2021 Don Nicanor Malbec was produced with grapes from Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo in similar proportion, fermented with selected yeasts and with 60% of the wine matured in oak barrels for 12 months. It has contained ripeness at 14.5% alcohol and is juicy and peachy, with black fruit (cassis, blackberry) and herbs. It is more serious, perhaps with a more reductive personality, with good concentration, tension and balance. Modern, very good value and a traditional name. (Vintage 2021).

James Suckling 91 Points | Pretty nose of potpourri, lavender, cherries, purple plums and spice box. It’s full-bodied and creamy with a firm tannin frame. Nicely spiced. Better after 2024. (Vintage 2021).
