R.H. Coutier Extra Brut Rosé is an elegant, finely structured expression of the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay in Champagne’s Montagne de Reims. Although Ambonnay is renowned for Pinot Noir, this distinctive cuvée gives Chardonnay a leading role, creating a Rosé that balances delicate fruit with freshness, finesse and mineral precision.
The base-2022 release is composed of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, produced entirely from organically farmed estate fruit in Ambonnay. Approximately 77% of the blend comes from the 2022 harvest, complemented by reserve wines that add complexity and continuity.
Pale and refined in color, the Champagne opens with notes of cranberry, wild red berries, dried flowers and subtle mint. Delicate earthy and savory nuances emerge with air, while the palate remains graceful and energetic, supported by fine bubbles, fresh acidity and a clean, beautifully balanced Extra Brut finish.
