The Pazo de La Cuesta Godello Ribeira Sacra Blanco 2023 is a Galician white of excellent expression, crafted from hand-harvested Godello grapes in the steep, terraced vineyards of Ribeira Sacra. After destemming, the grapes undergo cold pre-fermentation maceration for 6 hours, followed by slow fermentation in stainless steel below 20°C for 60–70 days. The wine then ages for 4 months on fine lees with weekly rackings, building texture and complexity while preserving freshness.

“The beautiful Anderson Valley of Mendocino County is home to some of California’s best Pinot Noir. I look at it as a stylistic bridge between Russian River–Sonoma Coast and the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The fruit leans more to the darker spectrum with earthy complexity and a spicy character. Aromas of cherry and strawberry mingle with shades of violet, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Well balanced and harmonious with smooth tannins and lifted acidity that brings focus to the fruit on the long flavorful finish.”

Burghound  | The dark color a bit now with a ruby ​​heart. A nose of caramel and smoke that has a slightly weird lactic aroma that has never led to completely dispel the rich, but good, very mature flavors and a little round, supple, very detailed finish. There is a certain rusticity in the finish. Still, I loved it but it is more for those who appreciate very mature Burgundy.
