Coppo Barbera d'Asti Camp du Rouss 2023 750ml
Coppo · Barbera d'Asti DOCG · Camp du Rouss · 2023 · 750ml
The Producer
Founded in 1892 in Canelli, in the heart of Piedmont's Asti hills, Coppo is one of the region's historic family houses, famous for aging its wines in underground cellars carved into the hillside. Camp du Rouss is its signature take on Barbera: generous, polished and built for the table.
The Wine
Ripe, dark-skinned fruit, culinary spice and new leather lead the way, with a lift of menthol. The palate is firmly structured and chewy, offering dried Morello cherry, raspberry jam, licorice and espresso over fine-grained tannins, with Barbera's trademark fresh acidity keeping it lively.

Arnaldo Caprai Grecante Grechetto dei Colli Martani Umbria 2024 750ml
Arnaldo Caprai · Grecante Grechetto dei Colli Martani · Umbria · 2024
The family operation began in 1971 when textiles entrepreneur Arnaldo Caprai purchased 12.5 acres in Montefalco. In 1988, ownership passed on to Arnaldo's son, Marco. Today, the winery is the leading producer of top quality Umbrian wine, recognized for its dedication to environmental, economic and social sustainability, as well as being champions for the wines of Umbria.
This Umbrian white from Arnaldo Caprai captures a true expression of Grechetto from this lesser known Italian region. Appealing aromatics of white peach, melon, lemon zest, hints of chamomile and honey characteristics all tantalize the palate. This Grechetto is light to medium bodied, pure, fresh, savory and finely balanced.
Staff Pick
Flavors of stone fruits, lemon-lime, blanched almonds, and stonines shine thru on the palate, ending with zesty acidity and a bone dry finish.

Cheese Pairing
Recommended: Essex Street / G. Cravero 'Parmigiano Reggiano' 2 yrs — available at 67Gourmet
All too often in America, we think of Parmigiano Reggiano as a topping for pasta, but truly great iterations of this cheese are wonderful eaten on its own or with a superb Italian wine. The Cravero family has been aging Reggiano since 1851, and their cheese is unique among all other Parmigiano. It has distinct tropical fruit and pineapple overtones in the middle of the palate which turn the salty finish into a harmonious counterpoint. One taste of this and you'll see why Reggiano is widely considered the king of all cheese.

Expert Review · 2025 Vintage
Just bottled, the 2025 Roero Arneis pours a pale straw/platinum hue and offers an early look at a beautifully balanced growing season. The nose is bright and focused, with flinty reduction and white pepper lifting from the glass alongside white peach, melon, lemon-lime rind, and chive. Medium-bodied, it shows excellent tension and energy, with brisk acidity and a vibrant, electric feel across the palate that keeps it refreshing and precise. It should be ready to drink on release. 70,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2026-2032.

Torrebruna Sangiovese Tuscany 2020 750ml
Torrebruna · Sangiovese · IGT Toscana · Tuscany · Italy · 2020
Torrebruna is one of Tuscany’s most reliable over-achievers at the value end of the spectrum — a Sangiovese-based IGT Toscana that consistently punches well above its price point. The 2020 Tuscan vintage was exceptional — warm and dry, producing wines of deep concentration and ripe tannins.
The 2020 pours opaque with a red berry rim. The nose opens with cherry, dark fruits, and vanilla. On the palate, silky tannins frame flavors of dried strawberry, plum, violet, and red cherry — robust and balanced, with a finish that lingers with warmth and fruit. Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri 2023 750ml
Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri 2023 · Tuscany, Italy · 750ml
Producer History
When, in 1984, Rita and Virgilio decided to purchase what would become Tua Rita, those lands and buildings were meant to be merely the setting for a place where they could live in harmony with nature, cultivating their own land. But the irresistible drive of their passion for wine decidedly changed everything...
Expert Reviews · Vintage 2023
James Suckling · 93 Points: Lovely crushed berry and cherry aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a crunchy and delicious finish. A blend of mostly merlot and cabernet sauvignon with some syrah and cabernet franc. Drink now.
Decanter · James Button · 90 Points: Rosso dei Notri is Tua Rita's biggest production, at about 150,000 bottles a year. This is the first vintage using concrete alongside the usual stainless steel vats, which in theory should give a bit more softness of texture and fruit expression. Creamy red and black berry aromas carry through to the mouth, where they are joined by overtones of liquorice and violet. Fresh and spicy, this is a fairly straightforward, easy-drinking red which shows lovely purity of fruit. 80% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Drinking 2024 to 2028.
Jeb Dunnuck · Audrey Frick · 91 Points: Pouring a medium red color, the 2023 Rosso Dei Notri is a blend coming from all the cru vineyards and is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and the rest Syrah and Cabernet Franc. It’s the entry-level wine but always comes from the cru vineyards and is raised in concrete for six months. The nose of the 2023 is inviting, fresh, and fruity, with notes of mixed berries, apricots, candied flowers, and sweet herbs. It moves seamlessly to the palate and is medium to full-bodied, with a silky texture and a clean, fruity feel throughout. It’s a joyful wine to drink over the next several years. Drinking 2025 to 2028.
Vinous · Antonio Galloni: The 2023 Rosso di Notri, the estate’s entry-level red, is a fine choice for drinking over the next few years. Succulent red cherry, tobacco, spice and leather are nicely pushed forward in this refreshing, juicy red blend of 30% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Franc. Drinking 2024 to 2027.
Winemaker Description
This youthful offering from Tua Rita is 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Franc, harvested in September from vineyards in the foothills of Suvereto, a small hilltop village in Tuscany. After a gentle pressing, the wine is aged for three months in French oak barriques and stainless steel tanks.
Deep ruby red in color, with aromas of black fruits, namely blackberries, plums and ripe black cherries over more subtle notes of cocoa, licorice and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth, with silky tannins and bracing acidity, showing structural balance long into the finish.
Food Pairings
Pair this wine with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, spice rubbed chicken, or lasagna Bolognese with béchamel sauce.

Santi Valpolicella Ripasso Solane 2021 750ml
Santi Valpolicella Ripasso Solane 2021 · Veneto, Italy
Santi Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a "ripasso" method Valpolicella: following primary fermentation, the wine sees a second fermentation with the addition of Amarone grapes and skins, creating a richer, more complex and more exciting final wine. The Solane Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore is a wine strongly linked to the territory and therefore of great character.
Producer
Santi has been operating in the Valpolicella area since 1843, allowing it to select not only the best vineyards in the Val d'Illasi, but also in other valleys in order to have different exposures and microclimates to obtain the best combinations and create the exclusive and consistent style of Santi wines.
Terroir and Vinification
Santi Solane is sourced from estate vineyards within the original Valpolicella appellation of Valpolicella Classico. When primary fermentation is complete in early winter, grapes, skins and pomace from Santi's Amarone are added to the vats. The additional sugars from the Amarone trigger a second fermentation which adds additional layers of complexity, rich fruit and structure. The wine is blended and then aged for 3-5 months in small oak casks followed by an additional 12 months in larger neutral casks prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
It has a beautiful and intense ruby color; the typical, clean and complex scent has intense hints of fresh red fruit and maraschino jam, wrapped in hints of vanilla. The taste is warm and frank, balanced, with an elegant spicy and toasted bottom. It has a strong personality thanks to the distinct elegance and subtlety of perfumes, to the flavor and persistence in the mouth. Great and pleasant when young, it improves over time.
