An exciting wine! Organically farmed, raised in amphora, 100% Blaufrankisch. Straka is a small family winery embracing a philosophy of pure and natural winemaking at their 84 year old family estate located in the Eisenberg district of Burgenland.

Winemaker Description 

This Pet Nat from Straka is 100% Welschriesling fermented naturally in the ancestral method. The second fermentation occurs naturally inside the bottle creating trapped CO2. Bubbles!

At a low 12% alcohol this mineral yet fruit driven expression of the main white grape of Burgenland is eminently thirst quenching. As with all the Straka wines, the farming is organic, the intervention in the cellar minimal with no additions.

On the nose, this whiskey offers notes of over-ripe cherry, sweet apples, raisins, almonds, leather and fresh-cut hay. On the palate, it shows honey, cherries, blackcurrant and fig, with a nutty brine and walnut characteristics. Buttery caramel, whipped creme, brown sugar and smoked cayenne come through on the finish.

The Whisky Advocate writes 90 Points | Finished in 500-liter oloroso sherry casks, this is one for the sherry lovers, with sugared almond, fig, milk chocolate, and candied fruit notes on the nose. The palate is rich, with milk chocolate Toblerone, grape soda, raspberry coulis, candied ginger, almonds, Fig Newtons, and drying oak. It finishes sweet and silky, with a hint of tobacco, vanilla, and delicate dried fruit.

Studio by Miraval is a collaboration between the celebrated Perrin Family — the force behind Château Beaucastel and some of the Rhône’s greatest wines — and the legendary Miraval estate in Provence. Named as a tribute to the recording studio where Pink Floyd recorded The Wall, this wine embodies the spirit of Art de Vivre around the Mediterranean. Strongly influenced by sea spray and the proximity of the Mediterranean Sea, the salty, almost iodized soils of the estate give the wine a unique coastal character that sets it apart from the crowd. The 2025 vintage — marked by intense summer heat, early maturity, and beautifully concentrated, aromatic berries — earned 90 points from Decanter and is punching well above its price.

The color is a seductive, clear, bright pale-pink with pastel reflections. The nose is all finesse and elegance: small red fruit, cherry blossom, and a superb aromatic bouquet. Hibiki Blossom Harmony, is a blend of various malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. In choosing the finishing cask type for this blend, the Sakura wood was one that was said to have “intrigued Fifth Generation Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo.” “I have been mesmerized by the Sakura cask for the last five years now due to its symbolism, but also because of its distinctive, subtly floral and spicy aroma and flavor notes,” said Fukuyo in a prepared statement.

He partners exclusively with organic and biodynamic growers in the cold-climate corners of Oregon and Washington, using a hands-off approach and no conventional additives, just grapes and, only when truly needed, a touch of SO2. Swick is part of a movement rewriting West Coast winemaking, from skin-contact and field blends to Pét-Nats, making energetic, fresh vins de soif that change with every vintage.

The 2023 Pinot Noir is a two-vineyard blend: Greyhorse in Yamhill-Carlton brings weight and ripeness, while Morning Mist in Sheridan adds tension and acid. It's made whole cluster and foot-stomped, then spends 45 days on skins and 18 months in neutral French oak. At 500 cases, it's Swick's most accessible wine.
