Benziger Family Winery Chardonnay 2023 750ml
Benziger Family Winery | Chardonnay | 2023
A bright, food-friendly Chardonnay sourced primarily from Monterey County — California's premier cool-climate home for Burgundian whites. The Pacific Ocean's maritime fog rolls in to slow ripening, preserving crisp acidity while allowing flavors to fully develop over the long growing season. Limestone-rich Lockwood shale adds a layer of complex minerality that lifts the wine beyond its price point. In the cellar, cold fermentation in neutral French oak followed by six months of sur lie aging in new French oak builds texture and depth, while 75% malolactic fermentation softens the mid-palate without sacrificing freshness. The result: a clean, balanced Chardonnay with a long finish that overdelivers at the table.
- Appellation: Monterey County, California
- Varietal: Chardonnay
- Vintage: 2023
- Format: 750ml | Screwcap
- Cellaring: Drink now through 2027
- Oak: Cold fermented in neutral French oak; sur lie aged 6 months in new French oak
- MLF: 75%
Tasting Notes
Dry and crisp with medium body and a long finish. Notes of lemon zest, green apple, ripe pear, and apricot, with a subtle mineral thread and a hint of toasted oak on the close.
Winemaker's Notes — 2023 Vintage
Moderate conditions during the growing and ripening seasons produced healthy yields and superb quality. Mild temperatures and extended hang time allowed acidity to remain in balance with full flavor development.

Riedel Sommelier Montrachet 4400/7
The Montrachet glass is perfect to reveal the intensity of full-bodied white wines, including the wine's multi-layered aromas. With a larger volume, the wide open-mouthed bowl enables the rich bouquet to develop its wonderfully diverse range of aromas, emphasizing the finesse while minimizing the risk of richer style white wines becoming over-concentrated.
This product is made of clear crystal glass.
Sommeliers was the world’s first wine friendly glass collection and a design revolution created by Claus J. Riedel (9th generation). The range adheres to the Bauhaus design principle of form follows function, as Claus J. Riedel had discovered that certain wines showed more depth and better balance when enjoyed from certain shapes. Thin-blown and unadorned, Sommeliers was the beginning of RIEDEL's dominance of the global wine glass market.
This product is handmade.
Our master glassmakers individually craft each item so every piece has a unique character. Due to the nature of crafting, small tolerances in the size and weight of each product, tiny bubbles, imperfections, or slight surface variations are an acceptable part of the process.

Domaine Jean Chartron Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Cailleret Monopole 2021 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021
Burghound 93 Points | A more reserved if equally airy and elegant speaks more of acacia, green apple and zest, all of which is trimmed in enough wood to notice. Here too there is excellent volume and punch to the medium-bodied that flash noticeably more minerality on the beautifully persistent finish. Like the Pucelle, this possesses a simply gorgeous texture that can be replicated by no other commune in the Côte. It's worth pointing out that the Pucelle and Cailleret are quite similar qualitatively but they offer two very different expressions. Outstanding. ♥
Decanter 94 Points | Chartron’s Clos du Cailleret is a regal premier cru. This emblematic cuvée of the Chartron family is particularly successful in 2021, with exotic aromas of guava and pomelo, lemon, and spice. The texture is concentrated and rich, with no lack of acidity but an equally impressive richness in extract for balance. The vines come from the Chartron parcel of nearly a hectare at the northern end of the Clos. The grapes are lightly crushed and slowly pressed before fermentation in cask (25% new)—genuinely delicious wine.
Ramey HYDE Vineyard Chardonnay Carneros 2023 750ml
Ramey Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay — Carneros, California 2023
Ramey Wine Cellars is one of California's most celebrated addresses for Chardonnay — founded in 1996 by David and Carla Ramey, and now co-led by the second generation, Claire and Alan. David Ramey, hailed as "Professor Chardonnay" by Wine Spectator, pioneered whole-cluster pressing, sur lies aging, malolactic fermentation, and native yeast fermentations in California — techniques now standard across the state. The Hyde Vineyard in Carneros is one of his most storied sources: a benchmark site that produces Chardonnay of extraordinary elegance, tension, and longevity. James Suckling awarded the 2023 vintage 99 points; Wine Advocate 95; Vinous 95; Wine Spectator 94. At $89.99, it is one of the most compelling single-vineyard Chardonnays in California.
The nose is refined and expressive: quince, white peach, lemon curd, orchard fruit, lemon confit, marzipan, elderflower, white flowers, mint, and a whisper of matchstick and crème brûlée. On the palate, the texture is silky and layered — concentrated and nuanced, with vibrant acidity that adds compelling tension and a sense of total finesse. Citrus, green apple, mango, guava, lemongrass, and lime leaf unfurl slowly toward a very long, elegant, mineral finish. Generous and full-flavored, yet restrained and precise. Drink now or best from 2030.
James Suckling 99 — "So well layered, delicious and vibrant... great balance, minerality and a slight sense of restraint in the vivid acidity. Fresh and compelling."
Wine Advocate 95 — "Elegant and expressive... bursting with concentrated, nuanced flavors delivered in a silky texture. Vibrant acidity adds compelling tension."
Vinous 95 — "Classy, elegant and polished. Soft contours and lifted aromatics convey total finesse... an especially refined rendition of Hyde."
Wine Spectator 94 — "Supple and incredibly juicy... details of green apple, celery salt, lemongrass and lime leaf linger on the fresh, persistent finish."

For this Pinot Grigio, Fontana Candida looks north, sourcing fruit from the cool, volcanic-influenced hills of Delle Venezie, where the combination of altitude, mineral-rich soils, and a continental climate produces grapes of exceptional freshness and aromatic precision.

de Ladoucette Pouilly Fume Baron de L 2020 750ml
Winemaker Description
The delicate and complex olfactory expression opens on aromas which remind of white flower, exotic fruits. There is a very beautiful complexity for a vintage where the end-of-season’s sun brought a lot to the aromas. Excellent complexity that translates into great and elegant richness. Nice attack, straight and bright, it takes place with elegance on fruity notes associated with a dense structure and a beautiful acidity which brings a great length in the end of the mouth. There are aromas of exotic fruits (litchi, mango).
Purchased by the Comte Lafond, an ancestor of the current owner, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, Château du Nozet and its surrounding vineyards have a reputation for producing the finest Pouilly-Fumé. The vineyards are in Pouilly-Fumé Contrôlée, which includes Pouilly-sur-Loire, Saint-Andelain and Tracy-sur-Loire at the eastern end of the Loire Valley (including the vineyard of the Château du Nozet estate).
Both clay and limestone influence the delicate characteristics in Ladoucette Baron de L Pouilly-Fumé. This Grande Cuvée of Pouilly Fumé is produced exclusively in the best years and from the first pressing of the estate’s grapes. Winemaker Description.
Latour Vincent, Saint-Aubin "Cuvée Thomas" 2024 (New Arrival - New Vintage - Introductory Price)
Latour Vincent Saint-Aubin "Cuvée Thomas" 2024 is a fresh, refined and beautifully energetic white Burgundy from Domaine Vincent Latour, the historic Meursault estate run by Vincent Latour and his wife, Cécile. Formerly known as Domaine Latour-Labille, the domaine dates back to 1792 and is known for producing Chardonnay that combines texture and generosity with freshness, tension and precision.
This cuvée comes from a small 0.214-hectare vineyard parcel known as Le Village, planted in 1989. The vineyards of Saint-Aubin generally sit around 100 meters higher in elevation than Meursault, helping to preserve freshness and acidity while contributing to the lively, mineral character that makes the appellation increasingly sought after by Burgundy lovers.
The wine is fermented and aged on the lees in one- and two-year-old demi-muids, allowing it to develop texture and complexity without excessive oak influence. The cuvée is named after Vincent Latour’s son, Thomas, giving this bottling a particularly personal connection to the domaine.
The 2024 Cuvée Thomas is expressive and vibrant, showing aromas of fresh citrus, green and yellow apple, white flowers and subtle stone fruit. The palate is focused and energetic, with bright acidity, a finely textured mid-palate and a distinctly mineral edge.
As the wine opens, delicate notes of lemon zest, pear, white peach and subtle savory spice emerge, while the higher-elevation terroir keeps the wine fresh and lifted. The finish is clean, persistent and precise, with an appealing balance of fruit, texture and tension.
Saint-Aubin has become one of the Côte de Beaune’s most exciting sources of high-quality Chardonnay, offering much of the character and complexity associated with its famous neighbors while often delivering exceptional value. Cuvée Thomas is a particularly elegant example, combining mature vines, careful élevage and the natural freshness of its elevated vineyard site.

93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: The 2022 Condrieu from Graeme & Julie Bott is a lovely classic in the making, unfurling in the glass with aromas of spring blossoms, white fruits, flowers, apricots and honeysuckles mingled with delicate spicy notes. Bright and vibrant, it's medium to full-bodied, enrobing and precise with a sappy, charming mid-palate that segues into a sappy, delicately phenolic finish. 91 Jeb Dunnuck: A clean, classy, medium-bodied effort from this estate, the 2022 Condrieu has textbook tart apricot and orange blossom-like fruit as well as some spicy, mineral nuances. I love its balance, and it has good acidity and a great finish. It's going to shine on the dinner table.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted in the vineyard before being whole-bunch pressed. After cold settling, fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by approximately 10 months of aging in French oak barrels before bottling. Production is extremely limited, at approximately 2,000 bottles.
Tasting Notes
Golden in color with pale yellow highlights, the 2022 Condrieu opens with expressive aromas of ripe peach, apricot and fresh yellow fruits accented by delicate white flowers and subtle violet notes. The palate is rich, concentrated and silky, yet beautifully balanced by freshness, mineral tension and a subtle saline character.
Despite its generous texture, the wine remains bright and energetic throughout, finishing long and precise with a delicate savory bitterness that brings definition and balance to the ripe Viognier fruit.

Produced from 100% Chardonnay, this refined white Burgundy comes from Les Champs Gains, a highly regarded Premier Cru vineyard situated high on the slope above Les Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyard’s name translates to “fields reclaimed from the forest,” reflecting land that was historically cleared for cultivation.
The elevated, cool site lies approximately 340 to 360 meters above sea level. Its stony clay-limestone soils contain abundant pebbles and relatively little clay, contributing freshness, vibrant acidity and a distinctly mineral character. The domaine’s mature vines bring added concentration, depth and complexity to the wine.
The 2023 vintage opens with fresh, bright aromas of orchard fruit, citrus and delicate white flowers. The palate is fine-boned, precise and tightly woven, offering lively citrus fruit, refreshing acidity and an elegant mineral core. Subtle toasted notes from restrained oak aging add complexity without obscuring the wine’s purity. The finish is long, balanced and beautifully focused, suggesting excellent potential for further development in the bottle.
Following whole-cluster pressing and a period of settling, fermentation takes place with natural yeasts. The wine is matured for approximately eleven months in barrel, including 25–30% new oak, followed by an additional period in stainless-steel tanks. Bâtonnage is avoided, helping preserve the wine’s freshness, clarity and individual expression of terroir.

Expressive yet refined, this Premier Cru white Burgundy offers both immediate appeal and the structure to develop additional complexity with careful bottle aging.

Louis Jadot Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay 2024 750ml
Maison Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy's most venerable and trusted wine houses, founded in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Over more than 165 years, the house has built an unrivaled reputation for consistency, terroir integrity, and the purest possible expression of Burgundy's great appellations. Jadot's principles of vinification balance tradition and technology, taking the lightest possible hand in the cellar — a philosophy that has made it the benchmark négociant for Burgundy lovers worldwide. The house is headquartered in the heart of Beaune, next to the historic Couvent des Jacobins.
The Bourgogne Blanc is vinified and blended from 100% Chardonnay sourced from quality growers in the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise. In keeping with Jadot's practice of réplis, a proportion of superior village-level wines is incorporated into the blend in most vintages, elevating the quality of the final wine beyond what the appellation alone might suggest. The wine is aged in stainless steel for 12 months, preserving freshness and the natural expression of the Chardonnay grape.
The 2024 growing season began mildly, with warm weather in February and early March. April and May were cool and rainy, slowing growth and delaying flowering to early June. Temperatures rose to seasonal norms in July with abundant rainfall, followed by a drier, warmer August and a cool September — conditions that favored freshness and natural acidity in the final wines.
The 2024 Bourgogne Blanc opens with an expressive nose of green apple, pear, and crushed stone, with delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with bright citrus fruit and subtle tropical hints of apricot and pineapple. Clean, precise, and beautifully balanced — an accessible and genuinely satisfying introduction to white Burgundy from one of the appellation's greatest names.

Dierler-Cade Alsace Riesling 2023 750ml
DIRLER-CADÉ ALSACE RIESLING 2023 | 750ML
🇫🇷 France — Riesling | Alsace
A jolt of energy delivered with ease and gentleness. This estate Riesling is harvested across Dirler-Cadé’s holdings, including fruit from the Grand Crus of Saering, Kitterlé, Kessler, Spiegel, Belzbrunnen, and Oberer Spiegel — with 70% of the estate’s Riesling on grand cru sites, this is a village wine with exceptional raw material. The nose is scented and bright, with navel orange peel and a touch of apricot. The palate is immediately vibrant, racy, slender, and crystalline — vivid, light, and bone-dry, with all the freshness and precision that defines great Alsatian Riesling.
All plots at Dirler-Cadé have been farmed biodynamically since 1998, with the goal of expressing the exceptional personality of each terroir. The estate’s four Grand Crus — Kitterlé, Saering, Spiegel, and Kessler — are each associated with one of the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. The Saering (“sea ring”) recalls the calcareous sediments deposited in the Oligocene period, producing wines that are juicy, broad, and dense with great power.

Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Chardonnay 2024 750ml
Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Chardonnay 2024
Francis Ford Coppola Winery has long been a standard-bearer for approachable, expressive California wines. The Diamond Collection — named for the director's four Academy Awards — represents the winery's commitment to quality across a range of varietals and appellations. This Chardonnay draws from the cool, wind-swept vineyards of the Santa Lucia Highlands, a region celebrated for producing whites of exceptional depth and natural acidity.
The 2024 vintage benefits from the Highlands' signature growing conditions: morning fog rolling in from Monterey Bay, afternoon coastal breezes, and well-draining hillside soils. Together, these elements create a long, even growing season that allows fruit to develop remarkable intensity while retaining freshness and balance.
Pale gold in the glass, the wine delivers a rich, creamy texture with lush impressions of ripe apple, pear, and toasted oak. The palate is generous yet balanced, with a smooth finish and impeccable structure. A versatile, crowd-pleasing Chardonnay that overdelivers at its price point.

Domaine Michel Niellon Chassagne Montrachet 2023 750ml
Domaine Michel Niellon | Chassagne-Montrachet | Burgundy, France | 2023
One of Chassagne-Montrachet's most trusted names, Michel Niellon has long produced village-level whites of uncommon precision and depth. The 2023 vintage brings a ripe yet fresh expression of the appellation — orchard fruit, white flowers, and hazelnut on the nose, followed by yellow apple, lemon curd, and flint on the palate. The texture is rounded and polished, balanced by underlying freshness and chalky lift. A wine of aromatic depth and quiet authority.
Tasting Notes
Pear and apple compote, citrus confit, rosemary oil. Punchy and delicious flavors with a clean, dry, and refreshing finish. A few years of cellaring will reward patience.
Critical Acclaim
Burghound 88 Points — Allen Meadows
"A ripe but agreeably fresh and layered nose reflects notes of pear and apple compote, citrus confit and a suggestion of rosemary oil. The punchy and delicious, if not especially dense, flavors also conclude in a clean, dry and refreshing finale. This could use better depth so a few years of cellaring should prove to be beneficial."

Domaine Michel Niellon · Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru · Les Chaumées – Clos de la Truffière · Burgundy · 2023
Domaine Michel Niellon is one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s most revered addresses — a small, meticulous family estate that has farmed its premier cru parcels for generations with an unwavering commitment to terroir expression over winemaking intervention. Les Chaumées – Clos de la Truffière is among the domaine’s most prized holdings: a monopole planted with ancient vines, some more than a century old, set very high on the slope where the combination of altitude, old vine concentration, and Chassagne’s signature limestone soils produces Chardonnay of extraordinary tension and longevity. The 2023 earned 96 points from Charles Curtis MW at Decanter — a wine built for the cellar and the ages.
The 2023 opens with pronounced ripe fruit aromas of lemon peel, nectarine, and gooseberry, edged with saline minerality. The texture is impressively fresh for the vintage — lilting and silky — with marvellous concentration and great tension on the palate. A wine of rare substance and precision, it will benefit from a decade in the cellar and has the structure to drink beautifully for several decades after that.

Lewis Cellars Chardonnay Russian River 2023 750ml
Lewis Cellars Chardonnay Russian River Valley — Sonoma County 2023
Lewis Cellars is one of Napa and Sonoma’s most celebrated producers of opulent, barrel-fermented Chardonnay — and the Russian River Valley bottling is the more feminine, floral counterpart to their Napa expression. The Russian River Valley is defined by its proximity to the Pacific: morning fog, cool afternoons, and salty ocean air that slow ripening and impart a distinctive floral aromatic quality and subtle minerality that sets this appellation apart. The 2023 growing season was one of the longest of the past decade — mild, consistently sunny weather promoted even ripening with exceptional complexity. Lewis waited until late September to begin harvest, picking the last fruit in the second week of November, allowing prolonged hang time for maximal flavor development. The wine is fully barrel-fermented with native yeast and undergoes 100% malolactic conversion in French oak — the Lewis signature.
The color is a luminous golden straw. The nose is rich and captivating: sweet jasmine, roasted pear, popcorn, caramel, cinnamon, and citrus blossom, with a whisper of salty Pacific air. On the palate, it is full-bodied, broad, and richly textured — pear syrup, lemon cream, apple chutney, flaky pastry, and Meyer lemon curd, with rocky minerality and barrel spice woven through a long, succulent, and elegant finish. Vibrant and elevated on entry, graceful and complex through the mid-palate, and deliciously succulent on the landing.

Wente Vineyards Chardonnay Riva Ranch Vineyard Arroyo Seco 2023 750ml
Wente Vineyards Riva Ranch Chardonnay — Arroyo Seco, Monterey 2023
Wente Vineyards planted Riva Ranch in 1961, long before Arroyo Seco had a reputation to speak of. Karl L. Wente saw what others missed: a cool, wind-driven corridor carved by the Santa Lucia Range, with gravelly loam soils and a microclimate that forces vines to work for every degree of ripeness. Over sixty years later, Riva Ranch remains the heart of the Wente estate — and the 2023 vintage is a compelling argument for why this vineyard matters.
The nose is warm and precise: ripe golden apple, caramelized pineapple, toasted brioche, and a lift of white flower. On the palate, the wine is lush and slightly viscous, with a creamy mid-palate of crème brûlée, roasted hazelnut, and buttery oak. Bright, carefully integrated acidity keeps the wine honest and the finish long. This is a Chardonnay that earns its richness — shaped by place, not formula.

Pascal Balland Sancerre Les Hautes Pierres 2025 750ml
Pascal Balland · 'Les Hautes Pierres' Sancerre Blanc · Loire Valley · 2025
"The High Stones" — that's what Les Hautes Pierres means, and it tells you everything about this wine before you even open the bottle. Pascal Balland farms his Sancerre vineyards on the steep, stony hillsides above the village of Boué in the heart of the appellation, where Kimmeridgian limestone and silex (flint) soils define the mineral backbone that makes Sancerre one of the world's great white wine appellations. A family domaine with deep roots in the Loire, Balland brings a precise, uninterventionist hand to his winemaking — letting the terroir speak rather than the cellar. At $39.99, this is Sancerre at a price that respects both the wine and the buyer.
Harvested by hand, the grapes are pneumatically pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. The wine rests on its fine lees before a light filtration and spring bottling. The 2025 shows everything you come to Sancerre for: a luminous pale gold in the glass, with a nose of white grapefruit, lemon zest, fresh-cut grass, and a signature flinty minerality. Terlano Tradition Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC 2024 750ml
Cantina Terlano is one of Italy's most revered cooperative wineries, founded in 1893 in the village of Terlano in Alto Adige — a region widely regarded as producing the finest Pinot Bianco in the world. The winery's philosophy is built on patience: every wine is given all the time it needs to mature to perfection, whether years or even decades. This commitment to slow, unhurried winemaking is backed by a legendary archive of over 100,000 bottles spanning vintages from 1955 to the present, with some rarities dating to the winery's founding year. Terlano's white wines have repeatedly made headlines for their extraordinary longevity and complexity.
The Tradition Pinot Bianco is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the Alto Adige, where high-altitude sites, mineral-rich soils, and old vines farmed with up to 700 hours of manual work per hectare per year create conditions of exceptional harmony. Low yields and rigorous selection of healthy, fully mature grapes ensure concentration and precision in every vintage.
Vinification is carried out entirely in stainless steel, with extended lees aging to develop texture, complexity, and the wine's signature mineral depth. The focus is on secondary and tertiary aromatic development rather than primary fruit — a hallmark of Terlano's distinctive, age-worthy style.
The 2024 Tradition opens with aromas of crushed yellow apple, jasmine, wildflowers, and ripe pear, with a light, inviting waxiness. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced — fleshy yet precise, with candied citrus, nectarine, warm bread, and a classic stony, saline finish. Lively acidity and a long, fresh close with a twang of sour lime complete a wine of real elegance and depth.
"The Alto Adige produces arguably the finest Pinot Bianco in the world, and this scintillating example is a perfect introduction to the local style… Balanced and with lovely acidity, it's quite fleshy but not fully open yet… Really good length, with that classic stony, salty finish."
— Decanter, 93 Points. (Vintage 2024).
"Baked apples and fresh pears mingling with lemon curd… The palate keeps that balance between power and grace, candied citrus and warm bread notes flowing with the confidence of a winery that's been mastering this dance since forever."

"Mixes vivid notes of crushed yellow apple with wildflowers and spice… A subtle saline tinge remains, as the 2024 finishes incredibly fresh with a twang of sour lime."

"Well-balanced and fresh, with flavors of ripe nectarine, green almond, passion fruit and white blossom, plus a stony base note that chimes in on the finish."
