Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Bolgheri 2023 750ml
The Original Super Tuscan — Sassicaia at Its Most Compelling
No wine better defines the Super Tuscan movement than Sassicaia. Created by Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta in the 1940s and first commercially released in 1968, Sassicaia pioneered the use of Cabernet Sauvignon on the Tuscan coast and forever changed the landscape of Italian fine wine.
By 1994, Sassicaia's reputation was so singular that it was granted its own DOC — Bolgheri Sassicaia — the only single-estate DOC in Italy. It remains the world's first and most celebrated Super Tuscan, still owned by the noble Incisa della Rocchetta family.
The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia Bolgheri 2023 is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Cabernet Franc, aged 24 months in 40% new French oak. The 2023 vintage was shaped by a cold winter, above-average rainfall, and a severe outbreak of downy mildew that forced brutal fruit selection and a 20% reduction in yields — a vintage of pressure and sacrifice that, like the legendary 1985, produced diamonds. The result is a Sassicaia of uncanny openness and generosity in its youth: wild sage, rosemary, dark fruit, crushed stone, rose petal, pink peppercorn, bergamot, and blood orange on the nose; chalky tannins, bright acidity, and a saline coastal freshness on the palate; and a long, persistent, mineral finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate awarded it a perfect 100 points. In Magnum — the ideal format for long-term cellaring.

Château La Chevillardiere Muscadet Sèrve et Maine sur Lie 2024 750ml
Château La Chevillardière Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie — Loire Valley, France 2024
Château La Chevillardière is one of the Muscadet appellation's most respected estates, farming 88 hectares of Melon de Bourgogne vines on the granite and micaschist soils that define the finest terroirs of Sèvre et Maine. Claude-Michel Pichon took over from his father Raymond in 2009 and has steadily expanded the domaine, acquiring abandoned plots and planting new areas with a clear mission: to elevate Muscadet's reputation and showcase the genuine typicity that only this corner of the Loire can produce. Sur lie aging — resting on the spent yeast cells through the winter — adds texture and complexity while preserving the wine's essential freshness.
The 2024 pours a clear, pale yellow. The nose is delicate and precise — fresh grapes, white flowers, and elegant mineral tones that speak directly to the granite beneath the vines. On the palate, it's dynamic and focused, with a clear emphasis on freshness and aromatic clarity. The finish carries a distinctive saline quality — the hallmark of great Muscadet sur lie — that makes it one of the most food-friendly whites in the world.

Apothic Cabernet Sauvignon California 2024 750ml
Apothic · California · 2024
Apothic was built on the idea that California winemaking could be both approachable and genuinely pleasurable — wines that don’t demand patience or a cellar, just a good glass. The Cabernet Sauvignon takes the variety’s boldest characteristics and softens them with intention: careful blending, selective oak aging, and a touch of Zinfandel that adds warmth and dimension without announcing itself.
The 2024 opens with expressive aromas of blueberry, blackberry jam, and dark plum. On the palate it is silky and plush — soft, fine tannins provide richness without grip, while layers of dark cherry and spice from the Zinfandel addition keep things lively. Vanilla lingers on the smooth, oak-kissed finish. Approachable now and built for the table or the couch alike.

Arnaldo Caprai Sagrantino di Montefalco Collepiano 2020 750ml
Arnaldo Caprai Sagrantino di Montefalco Collepiano — Umbria 2020
Arnaldo Caprai is the definitive name in Sagrantino di Montefalco — the producer who put this ancient Umbrian grape on the world map. Founded in 1971 when Arnaldo Caprai purchased 42 hectares in Montefalco, the estate was transformed in 1986 when his son Marco took the helm and launched a series of collaborations with agronomic and winemaking research institutes that would redefine the region. The result was the legendary “25 Anni” cuvée, which captured the attention of critics worldwide and established Montefalco Sagrantino as one of Italy’s great DOCG appellations. Today, Caprai farms 160 hectares across all four cardinal points of the Montefalco DOCG, and the Collepiano is the estate’s benchmark expression of Sagrantino — powerful, structured, and built for the long haul. James Suckling awarded it 94 points; Wine Spectator 92, recommending best drinking from 2030 through 2040.
The nose is dark and commanding: wild blackberries, meat, graphite minerality, and a stern, brooding intensity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with firm, austere tannins, lifted acidity, and a chewy, concentrated core of pureed black cherry and blackberry paste. Accents of marjoram, garam masala, sandalwood, and smoke carry through to a polished finish of salt, chocolate, and fruit. This is Sagrantino at its most serious — a wine that demands patience and rewards it generously.
James Suckling 94 — "A dark mix of wild blackberries, meat and graphite minerality. Firm, austere tannins, a full body and lifted acidity. A very chewy style, with a polished finish showing salt, chocolate and fruit." (Vintage 2020).
Wine Spectator 92 — "Dense tannins impart a thick, creamy texture… pureed black cherry and blackberry paste, with accents of marjoram, garam masala, sandalwood and smoke. Best from 2030 through 2040." (Vintage 2020).

Nikolaihof Gruner Veltliner Zwickl BIODYNAMIC 2023 750ml
Nikolaihof is the oldest winery in Austria, with nearly 2,000 years of history and one of the first estates in the world to adopt biodynamic farming. Owned by the Saahs family since 1894 and Demeter-certified, the estate's vineyards in the Wachau are farmed without herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic sprays — guided instead by biodynamic preparations and a deep respect for the land.
The Zwickl is Nikolaihof's signature unfiltered Grüner Veltliner — a Hefeabzug-style wine bottled with its lees. Pour carefully for a bright, clear glass, or shake the bottle for a cloudy, textural pour full of yeasty depth. Two wines in one bottle.

Orin Swift EIGHT YEARS In the Desert Zin, Petite Sirah, Syrah Napa Valley 2024 750ml
Winemaker Description
Eight Years in the Desert is the culmination of decades of Orin Swift winemaking — a wine born from an eight-year Zinfandel non-compete agreement entered in 2008 that pushed the team to hone their craft across other varietals, setting the stage for Zinfandel's triumphant return to the lineup.
The 2024 vintage is sourced from vineyards across California, including the historic Monte Rosso vineyard on Sonoma County's Moon Mountain District AVA, as well as Stefani Ranch, Dark Horse, and numerous others. What first catches the eye is the opaque mauve core with a vivid fuchsia rim. The nose opens with aromatics of black plum and boysenberry galette, Tellicherry peppercorn, cedar, and musk. Taut yet supple on entry, the palate delivers wild blackberry, crispy pluot, a hint of fennel, and slate, finishing with soft framing tannins and a close of milk chocolate-covered raspberry.

Meinklang Mulatschak Weisser Österreich 2023 750ml
On the edge of the UNESCO-protected Neusiedlersee National Park, where Austria meets Hungary on the Pannonian plain, the Michlits family runs one of the most genuinely integrated biodynamic farms in Europe. Meinklang is not simply a winery — it is a complete agricultural organism: Demeter-certified, self-sustaining, and guided by anthroposophical principles that extend from the vineyard into the community. A herd of 300 Angus and Aubrac cattle provides natural fertilizer, closing the nutrient loop. Ancient grains grow alongside the vines. A Waldorf school was founded nearby. And in the cellar, Werner and Angela Michlits make wines of striking authenticity — spontaneous fermentation, concrete egg vessels, unfined, unfiltered, minimal sulfur.
Mulatschak — Austrian slang for party — is their most playful expression, and it earns the name. A blend of Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, and Traminer, each given 5 to 7 days of skin maceration before fermentation in stainless steel, it arrives naturally hazy under crown cap with the energy of something genuinely alive. The nose is lightly aromatic: apricot, goldenberry, white peach, and a gentle yeasty warmth. On the palate it is textured and softly tannic — not a heavy orange wine, but a graceful one, with bright acidity and a finish that makes it remarkably easy at the table. Serve lightly chilled with or without food.
- Producer: Meinklang, Neusiedlersee, Burgenland, Austria
- Vintage: 2023
- Appellation: Österreich (Austria)
- Blend: Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, Traminer

Biodynamic farming, crown cap energy, and the Pannonian plains in a glass — Mulatschak is the party wine that doesn’t compromise.
Chateau Lafon-Rochet Saint-Estephe 2022 750ml
The golden-yellow exterior of Château Lafon-Rochet is visible from afar as one ascends the D2 road through the Médoc — a bold, warm landmark that reflects the passion and commitment of everyone who makes its wines. One of Saint-Estèphe's oldest estates, with origins dating to the 16th century, Lafon-Rochet was classified as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé in 1855. In late 2021, the Lorenzetti family acquired the estate, bringing in Technical Director Christophe Congé — formerly of Lafite-Rothschild — to lead a new chapter of precision and ambition.
The Château Lafon-Rochet Saint-Estèphe 2022 750ml signals that new era emphatically. The 2022 vintage brings more richness and mid-palate intensity than in the past, while preserving the estate's signature elegance. Fresh strawberry and red cherry on the nose give way to a palate of gorgeous weight and suppleness — currants, cassis, graphite, dark chocolate, and crushed stone — with ripe, building tannins and a long, precise finish. Antonio Galloni of Vinous calls it "the most elegant wine in Saint-Estèphe." An exciting new chapter for a great estate.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022

Momo — meaning “offspring” in Māori — was born from Seresin Estate, one of Marlborough’s most respected organic pioneers. Now grown into its own identity, Momo is youthful, urbane, and well-travelled: a wine with easy charm and a clear point of view. All grapes are certified organically grown, sourced from a small network of trusted Marlborough growers, and vinified with minimal intervention to let the varietal character speak for itself. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that is wholly classic in its Marlborough DNA — aromatic, vibrant, and food-friendly — but with a refinement and balance that sets it apart from the crowd. Vegan-friendly. Screw cap. At $15.99, this is one of the best-value organic Sauvignon Blancs on the market.
Pale straw in the glass with a lively, expressive nose of pink grapefruit, kiwi, passion fruit, and dried herbs, with a citrus thread running through it all. On the palate: focused, vibrant, and beautifully balanced, with tropical fruit, citrus zest, and a nice roundness that gives the wine real presence. The finish is persistent and mouthwatering — invigorating from first sip to last. Our buyer Bart Hopkins calls it “delicious distinction and casual fanfare.” Drink now through 2026. Pair with oysters, grilled fish, Thai green curry, goat cheese, or a simple green salad.

Producer Notes
Skouras is one of Greece’s most celebrated modern wineries, based in Nemea in the Peloponnese — the heartland of Aghiorghitiko (Saint George), Greece’s most noble red grape variety. Medium-bodied with elegant structure, balanced acidity, and very ripe, elegant tannins. The finish is moderately long, dominated by red fruits and followed by sweet vanilla and black pepper.

- Mushroom dishes or hearty lentil stews
La Vieille Ferme Rouge 3.0L Box Wine
La Vieille Ferme · Rouge · Ventoux · Rhône Valley, France · 3.0L Box Wine
La Vieille Ferme is produced by the Perrin family — the same family behind Château de Beaucastel, one of the most celebrated estates in all of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Drawing on their deep roots in the southern Rhône, the Perrins created La Vieille Ferme as their benchmark everyday wine: genuine Rhône character, vinified in the tradition of Beaucastel, at a price that makes it a weekly staple. The Rouge is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault sourced from the Ventoux appellation — a wine built for the table, for friends, and for any occasion that calls for a generous, crowd-pleasing red. Now in 3.0L bag-in-box format, equivalent to four standard bottles and staying fresh for up to six weeks after opening. At $29.95, this is the red wine you keep on hand all year.
Ruby-purple in the glass with an inviting nose of cassis, dark plum, and fresh herbs. On the palate: richly fruity and supple, with flavors of plum, blackberry, and a stony, savory undercurrent that gives the wine real length and definition. Wine & Spirits awarded 90 points, noting its “tangy berry flavors playing over a stony savor that holds the wine long and clean.” The bag-in-box format preserves freshness and eliminates waste — pour a glass whenever you want, and the wine stays as vibrant as the day you opened it. Pair with grilled lamb, roast chicken, beef stew, pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, or aged cheeses.

Folie a Deux Russian River Chardonnay 2023 750ml
Chardonnay | Russian River Valley, Sonoma County / California
Vintage: 2023 | Size: 750ml
Named for the French term meaning “a passion shared by two,” Folie à Deux has long been synonymous with exceptional value from California’s most coveted appellations. This Russian River Valley Chardonnay is sourced from cool-climate vineyards in Sonoma County, where the Pacific fog and long growing season coax out remarkable freshness and complexity.
The 2023 vintage is bright and expressive — pear, apple, pineapple, and apricot on the nose, with a richly textured palate framed by nutmeg, vanilla, and a lively backbone of cool-climate acidity. It’s the kind of Chardonnay that balances California generosity with genuine restraint: fruit-forward yet focused, creamy yet crisp.
“Indicative of its cool-climate origins, with bright acidity beneath notes of pear, apple, pineapple, apricot, nutmeg and vanilla — all framed by a richly textured palate.”

Domaine Marc Colin Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champ Gains 2020 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2020
Jasper Morris 92-94 Points | Mid lemon. A little more stuffing than the very agreeable Chenevottes, digging deep into fresh yellow fruit, some citrus rind, good acidity, and a particularly appealing intense crisp white fruit finish. Old vines count!
Neal Martin writes: The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Champs Gain 1er Cru has a touch more mineralité on the nose compared to the Les Chenevottes, touches of gypsum and oyster shell intermingling with light white linen scents. The palate is very well balanced and beautifully poised, with entrancing white peach and nectarine notes toward the irresistible finish. Yes, yes, yes! Drinking 2025 to 2048. - Vinous 93-95
William Kelley writes: Aromas of citrus zest, peach and pear, mingled with hints of white flowers, hazelnuts and fresh bread, preface the 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and nicely concentrated wine with a bright spine of acidity and a mouthwateringly chalky finish. This looks to be Colin's best Champs Gain since 2017. - Robert Parker Wine Advocate 91-93
Winemaker Description
Founded in 1970 by Marc Colin and his wife Michele, Domaine Marc Colin now spans 15 hectares encompassing 26 appellations in St. Aubin, Chassagne, Puligny, and Santenay. Most of the land was inherited from past generations of Colin and Ponavoy; certain parcels have been in the family for more than 100 years. While the family does own prime territory in Chassagne, home base in St. Aubin features parcels of the very best vineyards, En Remilly and Chatenière, to name a few. These vineyards accrue prestige due to their sloped location; while much of St. Aubin resides on flat ground (rendering less interesting wines) the Colin properties are all situated on finely pitched hillsides. The resulting wines shimmer with savory minerality and luster.
Today Joseph, Caroline, and Damien, the children of Marc and Michele, own and run the domaine. The fourth sibling Pierre-Yves (who made the wine at Marc Colin for 10 years) established his own project in 2005. Sustainable and organic agriculture, older vines, and clay-limestone soils are just some of the components contributing to the quality of the final product. Winemaking style would best be called traditional, though Joseph (who makes the whites) and Damien (who makes the reds) are certainly not shy of innovation. Whites strive for optimum freshness; there is no heavy, ungainly wood here. The red wines are characterized by silky texture, ever-present fruit and a certain roundness with just a kiss of oak. Production consists of 70% white and 30% red with total production maxing out at 120,000 bottles.
Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Organic Napa 2021 750ml
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon That Defines Organic Elegance
Grgich Hills Estate has been a Napa Valley icon since Miljenko "Mike" Grgich crafted the legendary Chardonnay that triumphed at the 1976 Paris Tasting. Their Organic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a testament to biodynamic farming and old-world winemaking philosophy — structured, graceful, and built to age. The 2021 vintage delivers the hallmark Grgich precision: bright acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a fruit profile that is both expressive and restrained.
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021
- Decanter — 94 pts: "Grgich's Napa Cabernet is a bright, energetic, savoury-styled Napa classic. Its effusive black fruits and spearmint aromas give way to a medium to full-bodied red with a dusty tannin backbone framed by almost electric acidity. This impressive, tightly-knit, lovely structured Cabernet will prove a standout of the vintage."
- James Suckling — 90 pts: "Aromas of sweet red and purple berries, dried hibiscus, moss and thyme. Full-bodied with firm tannins. The aromas continue onto the palate, with the sweet fruit as the star of the show. From organically grown grapes."

Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy Sancerre ROSE 2025 750ml
🇫🇷 France — Pinot Noir | Sancerre, Loire Valley
Vinified ‘grey’ — grapes pressed immediately after harvest — this Sancerre Rosé is salmon pink in color, lightly tinted, and possessed of remarkable freshness and finesse. Bursting with juicy grapefruit and pomelo, it has the exuberance of a paloma in wine form: bright, aromatic, and utterly irresistible.
The Pinot Noir vines of Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy are planted on two distinct terroirs — kimmeridgien limestone-clay soils and stony pebbly soils — whose intelligent blending gives the wine both structure and vivacity. A family estate with roots in the commune of Verdigny dating to the 16th century, the domaine has been tended with the same devotion across generations.
“Every year when Domaine Hippolyte Reverdy’s iconic label returns… my heart and taste buds feel a special flutter. Amidst all the blush-hued splendor, there’s something extra delightful about Reverdy’s rendition — bursting with juicy grapefruit and pomelo, as though a paloma decided to slip on a wine disguise. Clos Puy Arnaud Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 2022 750ml
Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
Jane Anson 95 Points | Tasted at the Palmères de Castillon event, where I was a jury member, and this was one of the wines picked out blind. I checked it against a different bottle at home later, and suggest that it is given at least half an hour in a carafe, as it remains fairly closed, but once again this is proof of the quality of 2022, and it's a seriously impressive wine that offers wonderful value. I'm always a fan of Clos Puy Arnaud, and you get the deft precision of the winemaking here, coupled with ripe blueberry and raspberry fruits, liquorice, black tea, pomegranate and slate-scrape tannins.
Vinous 94 Points | The 2022 Clos Puy Arnaud is a dense, extroverted wine. Inky dark fruit, licorice, menthol and cloves are all amplified. Usually Clos Puy Arnaud is more refined, but in 2022, the vintage dominates and speaks loudly. Even so, this is a compelling offering. I look forward to tasting it with bottle age.
The Wine Spectator 93 Points | Sleek and polished, with alluring notes of blackberry puree and warmed cassis that glide through, while fine-grained tannins, a buried chalky spine and a gilding of sweet tobacco add range and length. Shows a mouthwatering floral echo at the end.
Memo Summary Notes
Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2022 Clos Puy Arnaud is a standout release from the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, largely considered one of the best "value" wines of this highly acclaimed vintage. Produced by Thierry Valette (whose family famously once owned Château Pavie), this estate is a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture on Bordeaux's Right Bank.
The 2022 vintage in Bordeaux was marked by extreme heat, but Clos Puy Arnaud’s limestone plateau location helped maintain remarkable freshness.
