Faiveley Bourgogne Blanc 2024 750ml
Joseph Faiveley Bourgogne Blanc — Burgundy 2024
Faiveley's Bourgogne Blanc is the entry point into one of Burgundy's most storied estates — and it punches well above its appellation. Founded in 1825 and based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Faiveley is among the largest vineyard owners in the Côte d'Or, with holdings spanning the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. That estate access is the secret: fruit from their own vineyards is blended with carefully selected grapes from trusted growers, producing a wine of genuine village-level character at an appellation price. The 2024 vintage delivers everything you want from a Burgundian Chardonnay — freshness, generosity, and a length that defies its price.
The color is a brilliant pale greenish-yellow. The nose is expressive and charming: white flowers, ripe pear, lemon zest, and a whisper of minerality. On the palate, the attack is bold and generous — round and full-bodied with a creamy mid-palate, subtle oak integration, and a finish of exceptional length and persistence for a Bourgogne Blanc. This is the benchmark for what entry-level white Burgundy can be.

Domaine Huet Le Haut Lieu Sec Vouvray Biodynamic 2024 750ml
Vinous 93 Points | The 2023 Vouvray Sec Le Haut-Lieu is a pure, refined, seamless style with pear, pineapple and nectarine flavors. It boasts excellent clarity and refinement, with lovely freshness hailing from calibrated acidity that bursts through this blossoming wine. Considering this was only bottled three weeks before tasting, I’m very encouraged by the results.
Wine Spectator 92 Points | Fresh-crushed apple, quince and spice notes have an earthy dimension, with hints of roasted agave and wet soil. There's beautiful range and just enough plumpness to make this generous, yet it's held in check by a chalky mineral element and very fine tannins. Toasted almond and salted butter notes move in, with lime-edged acidity cleaning up the finish. Refined and complex. Drink now through 2037.
Winemaker Description
The original Huët vineyard is nearly 9 hA. It has the richest soils of the domaine’s three crus - a deep limestone-clay - and the wines are generally the estate’s most approachable. In some vintages, small quantities from nearby estate parcels may be added to Le Haut-Lieu. Winemaker Description.

Mahi Sauvignon Blanc 2025 750ml
Mahi | Sauvignon Blanc | Marlborough, New Zealand | 2025
James Suckling: 93 Points (prior vintage)
Mahi is the project of Brian Bicknell, one of Marlborough's most thoughtful and independent-minded winemakers. Where much of the region's Sauvignon Blanc is made in a loud, industrial style — cold-fermented in stainless steel to maximize tropical fruit and aromatic punch — Bicknell takes a fundamentally different approach. Drawing on what he calls a "chef's philosophy," he incorporates wild yeast ferments and aging in old oak barrels to build texture, complexity and genuine depth into a variety that is too often reduced to a single dimension. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that stands apart: more sophisticated, more food-friendly and more interesting than the category norm.
The 2025 opens with an expressive and layered nose — lemon peel, grapefruit pith, apple blossom and pastry, with citrus and tropical notes woven through secondary characters that emerge from the wild ferments and barrel aging. The palate is elegant and well-structured, with a creamy, textural mid-palate that sets it apart from the region's stainless-steel standard. Bright acidity provides freshness and lift, while the long, complex finish reflects the care and intention behind the winemaking.
Serve well chilled at 46–50°F. One of the few Sauvignon Blancs with the weight and texture to handle lightly seared scallops or oysters without overpowering them. Also excellent with grilled fish, shellfish, fresh goat cheese (chèvre), Greek salad with feta, light pasta and herb-driven dishes.
- Producer: Mahi
- Winemaker: Brian Bicknell
- Appellation: Marlborough, New Zealand
- Grape Variety: Sauvignon Blanc (100%)
- Vintage: 2025
- Vinification: Wild yeast ferments; partial aging in old oak barrels
- Style: Dry white wine, textural and complex
- Closure: Screwcap
- Bottle Size: 750ml

McBride Sisters is built on that shared passion: wines that reflect the coastal energy, cool-climate freshness, and sense of purpose that shaped both sisters’ lives. Their Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a direct expression of that vision.
The nose is generous and aromatic — tropical fruits, white flowers, and citrus, with ripe peach, mango, passionfruit, and Fuji apple layered throughout. On the palate, key lime flavors anchor a medium-full body, contrasting beautifully with firm acidity and a slightly mineral tone on the finish. Bright, vibrant, and unmistakably Marlborough.

Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc — Wairau Valley, Marlborough 2025
Wairau River is one of Marlborough's founding family estates, established in 1978 by the Rose family on the banks of the Wairau River — pronounced "why-row" — whose stratified river soils give the wines a distinct and unmistakable sense of place. Sourced from six family vineyards on the northern side of the Wairau Valley — Home Block, Riverlore, Rapaura, Longbend, The Angler, and Burnside — the 2025 is a refined, aromatic expression of everything that makes Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc a benchmark for the style worldwide. At $15.99, it is one of New Zealand's most elegant overachievers.
The nose is intense and lifted: ripe tropical fruits, guava, passionfruit, grapefruit, and citrus, with a pungent thread of fresh grass and snow pea. On the palate, it is refined and elegant with a finely textured mouthfeel, flavors of guava and stone fruit, and a big lift of bright acidity that carries through to a fresh, dry finish. Wonderfully expressive and built to be enjoyed now.
"It checks the Savvy B boxes with a pungent combo of grapefruit, passionfruit, grass and snow pea aromas. There's a big lift of acidity here that seems to mask the residual sugar, although it sticks out a little at the finish. A young, straightforward style." — Christina Pickard, Wine Enthusiast, 86 Points (Vintage 2025)

Biokult Gruner Veltliner Biodynamic 2024 750ml
Biokult Grüner Veltliner Biodynamic 2024
Biokult is a collective of passionate organic and biodynamic winegrowers in Austria, united by a shared philosophy: that the vitality of the vineyard is the foundation of great wine. Working in Niederösterreich, the growers focus on biodiversity in flora and fauna, maintaining microorganisms in the soil, using natural fertilizers, and avoiding synthetic interventions — creating what they call a “winegarden” rather than a monotonous monoculture. The result is wines that are bursting with life, honest, and deeply expressive of their origins.
The Grüner Veltliner is biodynamic, vegan, and sealed with a screw cap for freshness — a modern, characterful expression of Austria’s signature white grape that delivers serious quality at a remarkable price. Bracing, mineral, and food-friendly, it’s the kind of wine that makes you reach for a second glass.
Aromatics of crunchy apple, green pear, tarragon, and catnip. On the palate, bracing acidity and lime zest give way to white pepper, tarragon, and scallion, with a chalky, mineral, saline finish that lingers. Classic Grüner character — precise, fresh, and alive.

Ken Forrester Chenin Blanc Old Vine Reserve Stellenbosch 2024 750ml
Ken Forrester Old Vine Reserve Chenin Blanc — Stellenbosch, South Africa 2024
Ken Forrester is widely regarded as the "King of Chenin" — no producer in South Africa has done more to champion the grape or elevate its reputation on the world stage. Founded in 1993 on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, the estate farms old vines on decomposed granite soils with the benefit of cooling maritime influences from False Bay. The Reserve Chenin Blanc is their benchmark expression: textured, layered, and built to age, yet approachable from release. The 2024 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry summer that concentrated the fruit beautifully, with just 2,000 cases imported to the US.
The wine pours a bright, pale straw. The nose is perfumed and generous — ripe pineapple, honeydew melon, baked apple, nectarine, and subtle floral notes with a whisper of hazelnut. On the palate, it's rich, creamy, and silky with vivid acidity, a subtle streak of chalky sapidity, and layers of tropical and yellow fruit. The finish is long and mineral-driven, with refreshing hints of quinine and grapefruit pith. Drink now through 2030.

Day Wines Chardonnay Eola Springs Vineyard Eola Corridor 2021 750ml
Expert Review — Vintage 2021
Decanter 96 Points (Clive Pursehouse) | "Quite the Chardonnay from Brianne Day and the renowned Eola Springs Vineyard in the best Chardonnay appellation in America." Three different blocks and three different clones: Hyde Wente, Mount Eden, and Dijon 96. Captivating lemon curd aromas and rich, honeyed apricots followed by almond pastry cream — dollops of rich lemon cream, ripe peach fuzz, and rich apricot flesh.
Winemaker Notes
Brianne Day chose three blocks and three clones from the gorgeous Eola Springs Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills to get to know the site intimately. Hyde Wente and Mount Eden (California heritage clones) were picked earlier for structure and acid; Dijon 96 was picked later for stone fruit and riper character.
The result is lively, lithe, and built on a solid mineral structure with a supple, glossy mid-palate. Lemon curd, peaches, river stones, lime zest, sweet orange, honeysuckle, and a hint of pastry all come to mind.
Tasting & Pairings
Lemon curd, honeyed apricot, almond pastry cream, peach fuzz, river stones, lime zest, and honeysuckle. Lively and lithe with mineral structure and a glossy mid-palate. Serve lightly chilled.
- Lobster or crab with drawn butter — the wine’s richness and acidity are a perfect match.
- Roasted chicken with tarragon — a classic pairing for textured, mineral-driven Chardonnay.
- Aged Comté or Gruyère — nutty cheeses complement the pastry cream and stone fruit notes.

Critical Acclaim
- James Suckling – 92 Points | “Grapefruit, lemongrass and golden apples on the nose, alongside salted almonds. Medium-bodied, cool and mineral, with zesty and reductive undertones. Made in clay vessels.”

A racy, flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc with green pineapple, gooseberries, and quince on the nose, alongside a refreshing salinity of ocean spray and kelp. The palate delivers green citrus, lemongrass, and litchi, with an edgy textural linearity from flint and oyster shells. Cool, mineral, and utterly distinctive.

True to its name, this wine is fermented and aged in clay amphora vessels, a winemaking technique that preserves freshness and imparts a unique mineral texture without the influence of oak. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc of striking individuality and coastal character.

67 Wine Somm Series Petit Moscato 2024 750ml
Our Professional Review
I’m thrilled to kick off 2025 by introducing my latest project: 67 Wine Somm Series Petit Moscato 2024.Once again, I’ve drawn inspiration from the vibrant and dynamic wine culture of NYC! The label design aligns seamlessly with the rest of our 67 Wine Petit Somm Series, maintaining a consistent and stylish aesthetic. Moscato is one of the most popular wine categories in New York, and my goal was to craft a wine that pairs an elegant label with authentic, high-quality juice.
Tasting Notes:
The wine presents a pale lemon-yellow hue with bright highlights. On the nose, it is intensely aromatic, as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains is renowned for its fragrant character. The palate is lively, offering sweet, fresh fruit flavors of orange, honeydew melon, and peach. A subtle sweetness transitions beautifully into a finish accented with delicate notes of white blossom flowers.
In my view, this Moscato pairs perfectly with spicy Szechuan cuisine, Japanese and Indian dishes, tapas-style appetizers, blue cheeses, and chicken liver pâté.
