At the northern tip of Portugal, where the Minho River forms the border with Spain, a 7.5-hectare family farm has been tended by the Santiago family since 1899. For most of that time, their grapes went to cooperatives. That changed in 2009, when Grandma Mariazinha Santiago — then 86 years old, full of passion and determination — challenged her children and grandchildren to build a boutique winery and prove that world-class Alvarinho and native varietals from Monção could shine on their own. Founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errazuriz in Chile's Aconcagua Valley, Errazuriz is one of the country's pioneering family wineries. The Max Reserva line carries his name and reflects the estate's focus on expressive, terroir-driven wines from the valley's warm days and cooling Pacific influence.

Winemaker Description

The 2020 Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon shows a deep cherry-red color with purple glints. The nose unfolds strawberries, ripe black cherries and cassis, with cloves, marzipan and hints of mint, tarragon and rosemary, all framed by touches of caramel and chocolate.

Bodegas Portia is Grupo Faustino’s most recent winery project and is the 7th winery in the group. Located in the heart of Ribera del Duero, the Portia winery is a display of modern design, winemaking function and artistic detail. The brand offers very small production wines - intense, energetic & balanced. 

Harvesting at night allows the grapes to maintain all of their organoleptic qualities, as well as a balance between alcohol content and acidity. Once in the winery, the grapes are cold-macerated for a few hours before being pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to maintain all the characteristics of the best Verdejo white wine.

Nanfrè is Tenuta Sant'Antonio's young Valpolicella wine. It incorporates no dried grapes and uses no oak. The winery's recent decision to stop producing the Nanfrè as s Valpolicella Superiore allows them to maintain lower alcohol levels, more vibrant fruit and lively freshness. Nanfrè is the name of a hamlet in the commune of Illasi, the name of a vineyard and also the nickname of the previous owner of that vineyard (short for Gianfranco).

boasts flavors of dark berries and plum with notes of mocha.

Organically farmed pinot noir grapes from our home ranch, Redwood Valley Vineyards, were hand-harvested in mid September. The bunches were carefully destemmed into a stainless steel tank for fermentation. The mixture of skins, seed , and juice were cold soaked for 24-48 hours to begin flavor extraction. After a CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) approved yeast was added, the must was mixed two times per day to continue extracting color and tannin. 

These pump-overs are critical to enhancing the aroma and flavor from the pinot noir grape. Once fermentation is complete, the must was delicately pressed and aged on French oak for 8 months.

This medium garnet-colored wine presents enticing aromas of dried cranberry, sweet rhubarb, and subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, flavors of delicate caramel, bright red cherries, and a touch of licorice meld seamlessly with soft tannins and a smooth texture, achieving a harmonious balance of fruit and oak.
