A strong village. Like our new red wines, it symbolizes the resilient and charming character of the Tuscans.

This wine is made in the “Super – Tuscan” style by adding Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes to the classical grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese.

Each year we add selected wines to the blend to bring subtle complexity and richness without losing the flavor of the traditional wines of Tuscany. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness ensure a wine which expresses itself in its ripe blackfruit components and full body. A true reflection of flavours which are a marriage of our soils under the Tuscan sun. Tenuta Rapitalà crafts Vìviri — meaning "live" or "drink" in Sicilian dialect — as a celebration of the Grillo variety at its most expressive. Grown on the sun-drenched hills of the Rapitalà estate, this wine is defined by its vibrant flavor and striking minerality.   

Terroir & Vinification

Grillo vines are planted between 900 and 1,300 feet elevation on the Rapitalà estate, trained using the traditional Guyot system in soils of clay, small pebbles, and sand. The altitude imparts greater natural acidity, lending the wine its signature sapidity and mineral tension.

Grapes are harvested in mid-August, slightly before full ripeness to preserve the balance between sugar and acidity. The fruit is pressed, fermented, and aged entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel — keeping the wine fresh, pure, and unoaked.
