Argyle has been making the case since 1987, and the Willamette Valley’s cool, maritime-influenced climate turns out to be near-ideal for the traditional method: long growing seasons, natural acidity, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that ripen slowly and retain the tension that great sparkling wine demands. Producer Description 

This traditional grappa has a bright, crystal clear color. The aroma is aromatic, intense, enveloping the nose with fine, fresh fragrant and delicate floral notes of breir rose petals, orange blossoms, lily of the valley, elderberry, sage, citrus fruit and typical Moscato scents.

The fruit comes through on the smooth, well-rounded palate, with apple and pineapple dominant. There are background notes of bread crust. 

André Montessuy — Bourgogne Rouge 2023

André Montessuy is a négociant-éleveur based in Burgundy, producing approachable, terroir-honest wines from across the region. The Bourgogne Rouge is their entry-level Pinot Noir — sourced from limestone soils mixed with clay and marl, the classic subsoil of the Côte d’Or — and vinified with care: sorted by hand, cold pre-fermentation maceration for three days, then 12 days of alcoholic fermentation with twice-daily pump-overs and punch-downs to extract color and structure without aggression. Aged 10 to 12 months before bottling.

The 2023 is a textbook village-level Burgundy at a regional price. Dominant fruitiness on the nose — blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry — with a small spicy note. The palate is supple and round, with melted tannins, good length, and a lot of finesse. This is the bottle you reach for when you want honest Pinot Noir without the Burgundy premium.

Amber-colored, this grappa is very smooth at the taste, but never mawkish. In its aromatic profile the ranges of fruit and spices are predominant and that's right in the grappa with a long aging and a high quality standard.

In the range of fruity tastes we can catch the one of the dry fruit, so rare to find; together with the candied fruit, the raisins and the prune we can feel the fruit in syrup, the jam and the citrus. In the range of spices the flavor of the barrel is dominating, together with pepper, licorice, tobacco and clove.

The 12-year aging process transforms the raw, high-toned character of young grappa into a complex, mellow, and brandy-like spirit:

This traditional grappa has a clear, intense golden yellow to amber color. The nose is delicate and complex, with hints of bread, orange peel, wild flowers, elderberry, vanilla, plum, dried fruits, raisins and amaretto. 

The taste is smooth, rich, velvety, tannic and harmonious, exploding at the back of the mouth with authoritative aromas and long-lasting persistence, leaving notes of vanilla, almond, cocoa, tobacco, licorice and walnut bread. 

Winemaker Description 

The 2021 Cuvée brings together a variety of Pinot Noir blocks from the 42-acre Domaine Lumineux vineyard, showcasing the full spectrum of the estate. Heavy rains in the early summer of 2021 impacted pollination in the vineyard and resulted in a very light fruit crop. This was followed by record setting heat and extreme dry conditions throughout the summer, which proved to be beneficial for optimal grape ripening. The combination of low yield and ample warmth produced wines of exceptional balance, intensity, and grace in the Willamette Valley. This ideal harvest yielded outstanding Pinot Noir fruit that came together harmoniously in this blend.

A select blend of our distinct pinot noir clones, the 2021 Cuvée is a multidimensional, harmonious, expression of the Domaine Lumineux Dundee Hills vineyard. This wine exhibits opulent aromas of spice, featuring hints of anise, nutmeg, and earthy forest floor. The savory palate is accompanied by concentrated red fruit notes, intermingled with dried fig. Grgich Hills Estate is one of Napa Valley's most storied wineries, founded by Miljenko "Mike" Grgich — the Croatian-born winemaker whose 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay famously defeated the French at the 1976 Judgment of Paris. Today, the estate farms entirely biodynamically and organically, producing wines of remarkable purity and terroir expression. The 2022 growing season was defined by drought and patience. Rainfall came early — in October and December of 2021 — leaving a dry spring and summer. An intense heat wave in early September pushed sugar levels dramatically, but the Grgich team waited for cooler temperatures and balanced ripeness before harvesting. The result is a wine of concentration and elegance in equal measure.

The nose is rich and captivating: dark black currant, plum, and blackberry take center stage, joined by cedar, clove, and a touch of lavender. On the palate, it is full-bodied with layered dark fruit, firm but polished tannins, and a long, structured finish that speaks to Napa's finest terroir.

Craggy Range’s single-vineyard site sits in Martinborough, on the southern tip of the North Island, where a cooler, more continental climate and river-stone soils produce a Sauvignon Blanc of genuine texture and mineral complexity. The nose opens with white flowers, blossom, freshly cut peach, and passionfruit — aromatic and expressive without being aggressive. Winemaker Notes

Pajé is a small 1.83-hectare (4.52-acre) strip of land facing southwest, particularly rich in calcareous marl with a high content of active limestone. The amphitheater of Pajé opens onto the Tanaro river valley, which mitigates cold winters and hot summers, creating a unique microclimate. The vines range from 25 to 50 years of age (averaging over 40), and all new plantings are propagated using the massale selection method — clippings pruned exclusively from the Pajé vineyard itself.

The Roagna Barbaresco Pajé 2020 is a legendary release from one of the most artisanal and traditionalist producers in the Langhe. Luca Roagna is known for "monastic" patience, often aging his wines for five years or more before they leave the cellar.

The 2020 vintage is characterized by a "velvet glove" elegance — more approachable in its youth than the structured 2019s, showing silkier tannins while maintaining the estate's signature power and depth.
