Psagot Chardonnay M Series — Jerusalem Mountains, Judean Hills 2024

Psagot Winery was founded in 2003 by Yaakov Berg on the peaks of the Jerusalem Mountains — Psagot means “summit” in Hebrew — at 750 metres elevation, where vines are planted directly into terraced soft limestone bedrock. During construction, Yaakov discovered a cave beneath the winery dating to the Second Temple period, complete with an ancient wine press and period coins — one of which is reproduced on every bottle, connecting each glass to over two thousand years of winemaking history on this land. Winemaker Description

Incredible body and richness, yet already balanced, tannins already very round. Great acidity and spice allow for a never-ending finish. Powerful and complex aromas of ripe black fruit, dried herbs and spices, coffee and dark chocolate.

A blend of Bordeaux varieties, but featuring the desert’s strong varieties – mostly Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. After diluting fruit on the vines, we received grapes of remarkable concentration and quality. The result is a ‘big’ wine, which will age beautifully for years to come, and develop complexity and character. The wine was aged for over 12 months in oak barrels. Gives us a glimpse on the potential for great reds from the desert. HOLOT is a series of blends from varieties identified as best performers in the desert terroir. It is a result of meticulous care, from the vineyard – through the winemaking process. Holot Red is a blend of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, all growing here in the desert.

Winemaker Description

Mevushal. The Chardonnay grapes for this wine were grown in the fog-cooled Napa Valley in order to produce a wine rich in flavor and varietal character, complemented by aging in small oak barrels.

Don Ernesto has done it again. Our newest vintage of Chardonnay is Mary Poppins. Why Mary Poppins you ask. Well, it is “practically perfect in every way”! From the beautiful soft golden hue, to the rich round mouth, to the long finish, this Chardonnay is what you need to “help the medicine go down in the most delightful way”.

Starting with the nose, we find beautiful soft vanilla, ripe Asian pear and crisp Galia and Honeydew melon. Continuing onto the palate we discover lush star fruit and rich lemon curd. With its lingering finish our Chardonnay will make you want to “go fly a kite”!"

Winemaker Description 

The grapes of our Volcanic Riesling grow in the Valley of Tears in the northern Golan Heights which is the coldest and highest viticultural area in Israel. The fermentation was at 15.0-18.0 degrees C to achieve a delicate extraction of colors, aromas and flavors.

The wine has a golden straw with hint of green hue, with scents of Jasmin, pear and lime. Through the palate light medium bodied wine, that have flavors of green apples and lime. With nice and well balanced acidity, as well as a crisp and mineral texture.

Tura Winery is a family estate founded by Vered and Erez Ben-Saadon on 20 square kilometers of land in the village of Bracha, in the Samaria region of the West Bank highlands. Erez, who grew up in Jerusalem and served in the paratroopers, returned to his first love — farming and the land — and together with Vered built one of Israel’s most celebrated boutique wineries from the ground up. The estate grows its own grapes, ferments, ages, and bottles on-site, meeting the strict requirements of a true estate winery. Castel Blanc du Castel — Judean Hills, Israel 2023

Domaine du Castel is the founding estate of modern Israeli fine wine. In 1988, Eli Ben Zaken planted the first contemporary vineyard in the Judean Hills in the backyard of his home in Ramat Raziel — almost by chance, and almost entirely by conviction. Within four years, family and friends gathered to harvest the grapes that would become Castel Grand Vin 1992, and a benchmark was set. Today, Eli’s children carry the tradition forward: Ariel (CEO, trained in Beaune), Eytan (winemaker alongside Eli), and Ilana (Director of Export & Procurement). The grandchildren have vineyards bearing their names. This is a family winery in the truest sense — and Blanc du Castel is its most celebrated white wine.

Made from 100% Chardonnay, fermented and matured in French oak barrels for approximately one year in the Burgundian style, with residual sugars preserved to add richness and texture.
