Vavasour is the founding winery of Marlborough’s Awatere Valley — a cooler, more dramatic sub-region that was once considered too extreme for vines. In 1986, Vavasour planted the first vines in this windswept southern pocket, and the gamble paid off spectacularly. Today, with the oldest vines in the valley and an intimate understanding of this unforgiving landscape, Vavasour produces Sauvignon Blanc of extraordinary elegance, perfume, and texture. Winemaker Description

Bogle's heritage Petite Sirah is celebrated for its concentration and jammy, luscious character. The nose opens with touches of cacao and roasted coffee bean, while blue fruits and boysenberry command the senses upon entry. Notes of black pepper and spice linger on the palate, and 12 months of aging in American oak has noticeably softened the ripe, textured tannins — yielding an incredibly well-structured yet approachable wine of great color and depth.

Louis Latour Pouilly-Fuisse — Maconnais 2024

Maison Louis Latour has been one of Burgundy’s most storied negociants since 1797, and their Pouilly-Fuisse is a benchmark expression of the Maconnais appellation. The vineyards sit within a breathtaking limestone and heavy clay landscape — a terroir that gives Pouilly-Fuisse its distinctive richness and mineral backbone. Fermented in stainless steel with complete malolactic fermentation and aged 8 to 10 months on lees, this is a Chardonnay of genuine generosity and finesse.

Hugel Classic Riesling — Alsace, France 2024

Famille Hugel is one of Alsace's most storied and respected wine dynasties — founded in Riquewihr in 1639 and now in its fourteenth generation of family ownership, making it one of the oldest continuously operating wine estates in the world. From their base in the medieval village of Riquewihr at the heart of the Alsace wine route, the Hugel family has been a defining force in establishing Alsace Riesling as one of the world's great white wine styles: dry, mineral, precise, and built for the table. La Gritona is the passion project of Melly Cardenas, a female distiller working out of a small, fiercely independent distillery (NOM 1533) in the highlands of Jalisco — one of Mexico's most celebrated tequila-producing regions, known for its red volcanic soils and the exceptional quality of its blue agave. Everything about La Gritona is intentional and hands-on: from the agave harvested at peak sugar production and delivered to the ovens within 24 hours of cutting, to the hand-blown recycled glass bottles made by artisans in the Guadalajara neighborhood of Tlaquepaque.

The agave is baked in thick-walled earthen ovens for 24 hours, then rested for another 24 hours before crushing. The collected juice is allowed to ferment naturally — at a rate dictated solely by the surrounding air temperature, with no added yeasts or shortcuts. The fermented liquid is distilled twice, then rested for 8 months in reused American whiskey barrels before filtering and bottling. Every step of production takes place under one roof, overseen by a small team of local staff. Agave remnants are given to local farmers as cattle feed — nothing goes to waste.

The result is a Reposado of genuine character: subtle and distinctive, with the warmth and depth of barrel aging balanced by the bright, vegetal freshness of highland agave. The Dalmore 12 is recognized as a whisky with character far beyond its age. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes.
