Anne Pichon Sauvage Grenache Noir Vieilles Vignes Organic 2023 750ml

Anne Pichon “Sauvage” Grenache Noir Vieilles Vignes — Vaucluse, Southern Rhône 2023

At the foot of Mont Ventoux, where the limestone soils are stony and the summer sun is relentless, Anne Pichon farms old-vine Grenache Noir the way it was always meant to be farmed — organically, patiently, and with deep respect for the vine. The “Sauvage” Vieilles Vignes is their flagship red: a late-harvested cuvée from old vines that delivers the kind of concentration and hedonistic power that makes Grenache lovers stop and pay attention. Ecocert Certified Organic. At $18.99, it is one of the great overachievers of the Southern Rhône.

The 2023 vintage is dense, ripe, and immediately seductive. The nose opens with black cherry, blackberry, and blackcurrant — dark fruit piled high — followed by layers of cocoa, sweet chocolate, and licorice that add complexity and depth. On the palate it is full-bodied and concentrated, with plush texture, ripe tannins, and a long, warming finish. This is a Grenache Bomb in the best possible sense: powerful, generous, and built for the table.

Anne Pichon — "Harvested late at an optimal ripeness, this cuvée is very concentrated and powerful with notes of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, cocoa, sweet chocolate and licorice."

Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Organic 2020 750ml

Châteauneuf-du-Pape That Delivers Classic Southern Rhône Power and Elegance

Mas de Boislauzon has long been one of the most respected estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, farming organically and crafting wines that honor the appellation's storied tradition. Their Tradition Cuvée — a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre, fermented and aged in concrete — is a benchmark expression of the southern Rhône: rich, structured, and deeply aromatic, with the kind of complexity that rewards both immediate enjoyment and extended cellaring.

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2020
  • Wine Spectator — 94 pts: "Plum sauce and cassis reveal earthy, leafy dimension that brings savory freshness to this full-throttle red, which is formidable in structure and frame, with bolts of iron, black tea and persistent yet refined tannins taking this over the finish line. Long and powerful, with smokiness weaving through. Drink now through 2035."
  • Jeb Dunnuck — 93 pts: "One of the riper, broader, sexier wines in the vintage. Blackberries, roasted herbs, cured meats, chocolate, and Provençal garrigue all define the aromatics, and it's full-bodied on the palate, with a powerful yet balanced style. Classic cuvées don't get much better than this in 2020. Drink 2022–2037."
  • Vinous — 92 pts: "Soars from the glass with fragrant aromas of crushed violets, raspberry, wild strawberry, blueberry, licorice and mint. Full-bodied and layered, it's polished and refined, with a juicy core of fruit and good persistence on the bright finish. Drink 2024–2038."
  • James Suckling — 92 pts: "Wild berries, tar, dried herbs and cloves on the nose follow through to a medium to full body with firm tannins. Structured and focused with a crisp core of berries leading to the chewy and salivating finish. From organically grown grapes. Unfiltered."
  • Decanter — 92 pts: "Broad and full on the palate. Concentrated but not heavy. Lush and generous, with destemmed fruit fermented and aged in concrete. Drink 2024–2030."

E. Guigal Cotes du Rhone ROUGE 2022 750ml

E. Guigal · Côtes du Rhône Rouge · Southern Rhône · France · 2022 · 750ml

E. Guigal is the most celebrated name in the Rhône Valley — a family estate founded in Ampuis in 1946 by Etienne Guigal and now run by his son Marcel, whose obsessive commitment to quality has made Guigal synonymous with the finest expressions of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre from Hermitage to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Côtes du Rhône Rouge is Guigal’s benchmark entry-level wine: a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, and 10% Mourvèdre, partially aged in large oak foudres, and crafted to deliver genuine Rhône character at an honest price. The 2022 vintage was the hottest and driest growing season since 1950 — intense heatwaves followed by mid-August rainfall that promoted ripening and yielded concentrated, full-bodied wines of exceptional richness and depth. Jeb Dunnuck called it “smoking good.” At $18.99, this is one of the most compelling values in French red wine.

Deep ruby in the glass with an intensely aromatic nose of blackberry, black plum, pepper, garrigue, and a whisper of cocoa — generous, expressive, and unmistakably southern Rhône. On the palate: full-bodied and round, with lush dark fruit, velvety tannins, and a long, elegant finish that shows real finesse beyond the abundance of fruit. Three critics, three 90+ scores: Jeb Dunnuck 91, Wine Enthusiast 91, Wine Advocate 90. Drink now through 2028. Pair with charcuterie, braised lamb, beef stew, roast chicken, or a simple cheese board.

  • Producer: E. Guigal (est. 1946, Ampuis)
  • Wine: Côtes du Rhône Rouge AOC
  • Vintage: 2022
  • Origin: Southern Rhône Valley, France
  • Blend: 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre
  • Aging: Partially aged in large oak foudres

  • Scores: Jeb Dunnuck 91 · Wine Enthusiast 91 · Wine Advocate 90
  • Drinking Window: Now–2028
  • Size: 750ml
  • Tasting Notes: Blackberry, black plum, pepper, garrigue, cocoa, velvety tannins, long elegant finish
  • Pair With: Charcuterie · Braised lamb · Beef stew · Roast chicken · Cheese board

The Rhône’s most celebrated name, three 90+ scores — southern France’s most reliable everyday red.

Expert Reviews

Jeb Dunnuck — 91 Points
“Smoking good — blackberries, pepper, and garrigue in a round, supple, medium to full-bodied style. Remarkable quality for the appellation.”

Wine Enthusiast — 91 Points
“Black plum and cocoa-dusted aromas bump against raspberry and black tea. Fulsome in body, with red fruit riding all the way to the finish, made more complex by velvety tannins.”

Wine Advocate — 90 Points
“Juicy, round and elegant — remarkably dense for the vintage and represents excellent value.”

Domaine Gour de Chaule Gigondas Tradition 1871 2022 750ml

67Wine Buyer's Note

Bart Hopkins, 67Wine
Stephanie Fumoso is the great-granddaughter of Eugène Bonfils, who founded Domaine Gour de Chaulé in 1900. The estate has 10 hectares in the village of Gigondas, planted mainly to Grenache with small percentages of Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. The 2022 Cuvée Tradition is a pure expression of this beautiful part of the Southern Rhône — juicy, herb-infused strawberry fruit on the nose accented with crushed pepper and savory spices. Energetic and lively in the mouth, with a gentle grip of tannins and a lick of acidity on the long, elegant finish. Well balanced and perfectly suited to the dinner table — serve with braised meats, roasted vegetables, and hearty Mediterranean dishes.

Domaine Gour de Chaule Gigondas '.1871' Tradition, Rhone, France | prices, reviews, stores & market trends

Expert Reviews — Vintage 2022

James Suckling — 93 Points
"A refined, chiseled and bright red based mostly on Grenache with the addition of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The nose is precise and charming, with notes of wild strawberries, dried flowers, wet stones, and baking spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Fresh and well-balanced. Beautiful volume. Silky texture with a purity of fruit and a harmonious finish. Drink or hold."

Vinous — 93 Points
"The full-bodied 2022 Gigondas Cuvée Tradition 1871 is a total delight. Succulent red fruits mingle with floral tones and a pinch of dried herbs. Smooth tannins and bright acidity neatly structure this silky-textured Gigondas, which culminates with a concentrated, sapid finish. Give it two more years in bottle to develop even more complexity."

About the Vineyard

Several important vineyard sites form this Gigondas, including Gour de Chaulé, Les Blaches, and Les Bousquets. The Grenache vines average well over a half century in age, contributing the concentration and complexity that defines this cuvée.

Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva 2021 750ml

Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva — Sardinia, Italy 2021

Sella & Mosca is Sardinia's most storied and important winery, founded in 1899 near Alghero in the northwest of the island. With over 500 hectares under vine, it is one of Europe's largest single-estate wineries — and its Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is the benchmark expression of the island's most celebrated indigenous red grape. Cannonau — known on the mainland and in France as Grenache — has been grown in Sardinia for centuries and thrives in the island's sun-drenched, wind-swept terrain. The Riserva designation requires extended aging, adding structure and complexity to the grape's naturally generous fruit character.

The 2021 pours a ruby red with garnet hues, translucent and brilliant. The nose is bright and refined — fresh violet, red berries, plum, blackcurrant, sun-dried tomatoes, and oriental spices with a savory, lightly smoky character. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, solid, and well-structured, with fine tannins, fresh bursts of balsam and medicinal herbs, and a long finish that moves through toasted hints before returning to the spice route. Warm, balanced, and unmistakably Sardinian.

"Red berries, herbs, smoke and sun-dried tomatoes on the nose. Lightly peppery and spicy on the palate, medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a tasty finish." — James Suckling, 92 Points
  • Producer: Sella & Mosca, Alghero, Sardinia, Italy
  • Vintage: 2021
  • Appellation: Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva
  • Varietal: Cannonau (Grenache)
  • Size: 750ml
  • Accolades: James Suckling 92
  • Tasting Notes: Red berries, violet, plum, sun-dried tomatoes, oriental spices, balsam, fine tannins
  • Best Paired With: Roasted lamb, grilled meats, wild boar ragù, aged Pecorino Sardo, hearty pasta dishes

A 92-point Sardinian Riserva from the island's most iconic estate — Cannonau at its most expressive, structured, and authentically Mediterranean.

67Wine Buyer's Note

Bernie & Dorothy, Paulo & Barbara, and Annie — Follow the Drinker® (August 2025)
This is just a terrific wine. We drank it with burgers, roast chicken, and hanger steaks — and it just worked so well. 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah, the wine fills your mouth with black fruit and cherry-like flavors and does it all in a gentle way. Finishes absolutely clean, fresh, and mouthwatering. Everyone enjoyed drinking it.

Winemaker Description

Ruby red, nicely bright. Fresh cherry and blackberry on the nose with notes of cracked pepper. Dark berry and touches of anise on the palate, with sweet cherries and raspberry. The quality of winemaking is evident — a Parisian brasserie favorite.

Domaine Pélaquié is a family-run estate with a long history; the estate has been passed down father to son for generations, cultivating the same land all the way back to the 16th century! The current son in charge, Luc Pélaquié, has modernized the winery, all the while protecting the traditions of his ancestors. He practices sustainable viticulture, certified by HVE, on his 100 hectares of vines located in the Côtes-du-Rhône, Laudun, Tavel, and Lirac.

The terroir of Laudun wines distinguishes them from other southern Rhône appellations. The wines from this side of the river typically have higher acidity, with soils made lighter by sand mixed with clay and limestone. This contributes a floral elegance to the wines that is quite unusual in the region. The sandy soils and cooler microclimate are also extremely important for the cultivation of the Syrah and Viognier varieties which produce their finest wines in the cooler regions of the northern Rhône (50-70 miles to the north) in sandy, clay soils.

Winemaker Description

"Locos por el Vino” is a new project from Bodegas Alto Moncayo, aiming to expand their range with high-quality, modern and casual wines produced from the winery’s youngest vineyards, guaranteeing the continuity of the Alto Moncayo project for future generations to come. A local term used in the village of Borja, "Zismero" refers to one who is provocative, jovial, and mirthful, with a complexity and uniqueness that makes its audience think deeply from the pointed jocularity.

Isabel Ferrando’s reputation for outstanding wines has grown every vintage since her first release in 2003. As a woman owned business and winemaker, Isabel has built a tremendous reputation producing highly acclaimed wines.

"Proprietress Isabel Ferrando has taken her Saint Prefert estate to France’s highest level, and she’s unquestionably making some of the most profound wines on earth today, including both reds and whites.”   —Wine Critic - Jeb Dunnuck

"Hard work. Subtle tweaks. Responsible farming. An uncompromising dedication to quality. Isabel Ferrando keeps doing things the right way, and her wines are dramatic proof.” —James Molesworth,

Wine Spectator one thing that remains constant is the incredible quality that continues to emerge from this talented winemaker.” Jeb Dunuck.

THE WINE SPECTATOR 95 POINTS : One thing that remains constant is the incredible quality that continues to emerge from this talented winemaker.” Jeb Dunu Expressive, perfumed and ripe, with a glossy stream of bitter cherry and steeped plum anchored by bolts of iron. Warm spice, licorice, sanguine and grilled anise notes merge in, with a vivid flash of alpine herbs and singed alder smoke. A weighty, well-structured red that’s still unwinding yet is impressively approachable

JAMES SUCKLING 98 POINTS: Enormously deep and concentrated, but this is so subtle and defies easy description. The superfine tannins give this an incredibly fine texture, the richness building in the finish without adding anything to the impression of weight. From three old-vine grenache vineyards that have limestone, sand and galet soils. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

JEB DUNNUCK 97 POINTS: Black raspberries, ground pepper, white pepper, and sappy floral notes all make an appearance in the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Colombis, another remarkable wine from this family. With medium to full-bodied richness, it's incredibly well-balanced, has ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. As with the estate’s other cuvées, it reminds me of their 2020. As usual, this cuvée is 100% Grenache that’s from a mix of three parcels (Rayas, Les Roues, and Colombis). It was not destemmed and was brought up in a mix of concrete, foudre, and clay jars.

VINOUS 96 POINTS: The 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Colombis is magnificent, bursting from the glass with prominent rose petal, crushed violets, strawberry compote, spicy licorice, dried herbs and minty shadings. Enveloped in velvety tannins, the perfumed 2023 is shaping up to be a wildly alluring Colombis, closing with a subtle phenolic kick on the focused finish. I can’t wait to taste it from bottle.

THE WINE ADVOCATE 94 POINTS: A pure Grenache Noir planted in the north part of the appellation and vinified with 30% whole bunches, the 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Colombis has turned out beautifully. Evoking aromas of rose, dark cherries, spices and dark berries, it’s medium- to full-bodied, seamless and satiny with a beautifully ethereal finish.

Domaine Gour de Chaule Gigondas ".7 Le Gour" 100% Grenache 2022 750ml

Gigondas Redefined — Pure Grenache Mastery from Gour de Chaule

Domaine Gour de Chaule is one of Gigondas's most exciting estates, and Le Gour is their most singular expression: a 100% Grenache from 80-year-old vines that challenges everything you think you know about southern Rhône reds. Where most Gigondas leans into power and density, Le Gour goes the other direction — floral, transparent, and ethereal, with a silky precision that is closer to great Burgundy than to the typical Grenache archetype. The 2022 vintage is a stunning achievement, earning some of the highest scores ever given to this appellation.

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2022
  • James Suckling — 97 pts: "A superb wine made exclusively from Grenache from 80-year-old vines, silky and ethereal. The nose is seductive, with crushed wild strawberries, bitter oranges, roses and some peppercorns. Medium-bodied with finely grained tannins. Such finesse of texture, with a silky core of bright, transparent and succulent berries. Tension and vibrancy with an infused character. Intense while being restrained and always in control. Long finish. Drink or hold."
  • Vinous (Nicolas Greinacher) — 93-95 pts: "The captivating Grenache-only 2022 Gigondas Le Gour is sexy and layered. Pronounced rose petal, crushed violet, orange blossom, quince and raspberry aromas rise up from the glass. The floral lift is just stunning. Despite its medium to full body, this athletic 2022 red offers a seamless mouthfeel and is wonderfully light on its feet. Drinking 2025 to 2032."
Winemaker Notes

Chateau de Saint Cosme Gigondas LE CLAUX 2021 750ml

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2021

The Wine Advocate 95 Points | Hints of dried herbs accent raspberries and cherries on the nose of the 2021 Gigondas le Claux. All old-vine Grenache, this is a full-bodied, rich, concentrated effort, with a long, velvety finish oozing dark chocolate. It's exciting stuff, especially considering how difficult the vintage was for some growers.

Wine Spectator 95 Points | Opulent and broad, with a generous cascade of ripe plum and winey cassis notes wrapped in talc-fine yet sturdy tannins. Chewy, with strappy black licorice and cast iron moving in. A seductive, concentrated Gigondas, with impressive harmony as every element hums along toward the seemingly endless finish. Outstanding. Best from 2025 through 2040.

Vinous 94 Points | The 2021 Gigondas Le Claux is at eye level with the Hominis Fides from the same vintage. Powerful and refined, it bursts with intense ripe red fruits, followed by hints of blueberry and traces of cloves, cedar and licorice. This outstanding 2021 red is built around a massive tannic structure. Hence, don't even think about opening a bottle before 2030, as it would be a terrible waste of what eventually will merge into a substantial Gigondas of pedigree and class.

Jeb Dunnuck 94 Points | The 2021 Gigondas Le Claux is elegant and refined, with medium-bodied richness and depth as well as ultra-fine tannins. It has an almost Pinot Noir-like quality in its ripe red fruits, spring flowers, camphor, and forest floor aromatics, and it has good concentration as well as length on the finish. As always, this single vineyard release is all Grenache that wasn't destemmed and was brought up in demi-muids.

CHÂTEAU JASSON CÔTES DE PROVENCE ROSÉ 2024 | 750ML

🇫🇷 France — Grenache, Cinsault | La Londe-les-Maures, Côtes de Provence

The flagship cuvée of Château Jasson, produced from a rigorous selection of the estate’s finest plots. Grenache (70%) and Cinsault (30%) from 60-year-old vines grown in clay-limestone soils with a marked presence of blue schist — a terroir that imparts remarkable depth, mineral intensity, and aromatic concentration. The old vines give this vintage a silky texture and a refined, complex expression that sets it apart from the typical Provence rosé.

Nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif des Maures in the golden triangle of Provence, Château Jasson benefits from maritime breezes that bring an iodine and mineral touch to the wines, while generous sunshine ensures optimal ripeness. These lands have been dedicated to vines since the Greeks planted the first vines there in the 6th century BC.

Since 2021, the Saint Vincent family has been breathing new life into the estate under Felix’s leadership — combining tradition and innovation, with sustainable practices at the core: natural plowing, organic fertilizers, and active biodiversity preservation including 350 birdhouses installed across the property.

Pairs well with: Grilled fish, bouillabaisse, ratatouille, charcuterie, soft cheeses, and Mediterranean cuisine.

Domaine de Beaurenard Rasteau Organic Biodynamic 2022 750ml

Domaine de Beaurenard · Rasteau · Grenache, Syrah & Mourvèdre · Rhône Valley · 2022

For eight generations, the Coulon family has farmed the southern Rhône with a reverence for the land that few estates can match. Domaine de Beaurenard has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2011 — across more than 80 acres in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 60 acres in Rasteau, and 25 acres in Côtes du Rhône. Their Rasteau is a benchmark expression of this rising appellation: 100% estate-grown Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, co-harvested and co-fermented from south-facing slopes and terraces of stony limestone-clay soils, yielding just 25–38 hl/ha. 2022 was a warm, dry year with late-season rains that restored balance — the result is a wine of beautiful fruity, bright character with real depth and persistence. JS:92 · JD:91 · WS:90. At $37.99, this is biodynamic Rhône at a price that makes it one of the cellar’s great values.

The 2022 opens with intense aromas of black fruit, blueberries, red berries, dried herbs, rosemary, and grilled meat. On the palate: full-bodied and generous, with a beautiful center-palate of ripe berries, chalky mineral, iron, and cooling river stone. Fine, firm tannins and a lively, persistent finish with herbs, peppercorns, and a smoky incense note. Drink now through 2034.

“Juicy, well-shaped and vivid… full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. In control, with a delicious center-palate of generous berries and a lively finish with herbs and peppercorns.” — James Suckling, 92 Points. (Vintage 2022).

“Beautifully polished, fine tannins and great balance. Drink over the next 10–12 years.” — Jeb Dunnuck, 91 Points. (Vintage 2022).

“Both firm and vibrant… chalky mineral, iron and cooling river stone notes adding contrast.” — Wine Spectator, 90 Points. (Vintage 2022).

Domaine Le Galantin Bandol Rose Organic 2025 750ml

Domaine Le Galantin Bandol Rosé Organic — Provence 2025 750ml

Domaine Le Galantin is one of Bandol’s most authentic and quietly revered estates — a family domaine farming southwest-facing hillsides of clay and limestone in the heart of Provence’s most serious appellation. Their Bandol Rosé is the benchmark for the style: structured, complex, and built to age in a way that most Provençal rosés simply cannot. Blended from approximately 62% Mourvèdre, 21% Cinsault, and 17% Grenache — all hand-harvested — it is vinified with meticulous care: a two-day cold soak at 5°C to extract fruit and aromatics, cool fermentation with blocked malolactic, and bottling no earlier than March 1st as required by Bandol appellation law. Around 5,850 cases produced.

Pale salmon in color with brilliant clarity. The nose is expressive and aromatic: peach, nectarine, grapefruit, dried orange zest, and a touch of Provençal spice. On the palate, the attack is round and fresh, with a structured, complex mid-palate of citrus and red fruit. The finish is persistent and salivating — a rare combination of finesse and character that sets Bandol apart from every other rosé in the world.

  • Producer: Domaine Le Galantin, Bandol, Provence, France
  • Vintage: 2025
  • Appellation: Bandol AOC
  • Blend: ~62% Mourvèdre, 21% Cinsault, 17% Grenache
  • Farming: Organic
  • Vinification: Hand-harvested, 2-day cold soak, cool fermentation, malolactic blocked
  • Production: ~5,850 cases
  • Style: Structured Provençal Rosé
  • Size: 750ml
  • Tasting Notes: Peach, nectarine, grapefruit, dried orange zest, Provençal spice, citrus, red fruit, long finish
  • Cellar Potential: Drink now or hold 3–5 years
  • Best Paired With: Grilled fish, bouillabaisse, roasted chicken, ratatouille, charcuterie

The rosé that proves Bandol plays by its own rules — Le Galantin is Provence at its most serious and most rewarding.

Domaine de Beaurenard Cotes du Rhone Organic Biodynamic 2024 750ml

Domaine de Beaurenard Côtes du Rhône — Southern Rhône, France 2024

Domaine de Beaurenard is one of the Southern Rhône’s most respected family estates — a Chateauneuf-du-Pape producer of genuine pedigree that has farmed organically and biodynamically for decades, long before it was fashionable. Their Côtes du Rhône is the estate’s most approachable expression: a Grenache and Syrah blend that delivers the freshness, juicy red fruit, and delicate floral character of the Southern Rhône at its most joyful. Certified organic and biodynamic, it is a wine made with real conviction — and it shows in every glass. Wine Enthusiast awarded the 2024 vintage 90 points, calling it “sure to impress friends.”

The nose is high-toned and stylish: just-ripe dark cherry, licorice, and soft garrigue — precise, inviting, and unmistakably Southern Rhône. On the palate, refreshing acidity keeps everything lively and delicious, enhancing a salty minerality that adds juiciness to the lavish black fruit. Medium-bodied, smooth, and immediately pleasurable — with enough structure to work beautifully at the table.

Wine Enthusiast 90 — "Very high-toned and stylish. Refreshing acidity keeps the palate lively and delicious. This wine is sure to impress friends — be sure to grab an extra bottle."
Expert Review — Vintage 2024

Wine Enthusiast — 90 Points
Very high-toned and stylish aromas of just-ripe dark cherry, licorice, and soft garrigue create a precise and inviting nose. Refreshing acidity keeps the palate lively and delicious, enhancing the salty minerality that adds juiciness to the lavish black fruit. This wine is sure to impress friends — be sure to grab an extra bottle.

67Wine Buyer’s Note

We first discovered this Côtes du Rhône at one of our favorite local restaurants, Manny’s Bistro — where the Magret de Canard and the moules Provençal are both essential. This medium-bodied Rhône is fruit-forward without being overwhelmed by fruit, and its balanced acidity makes it equally at home with duck and mussels. It is simply quaffable — the kind of bottle you finish before you realize it.

Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf du Pape 2023 750ml

A fantastic Rhone from Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf du Pape 2023
Critical Acclaim — Vintage 2023

James Suckling — 95 Points
"An attractive, layered, velvety, and poised Châteauneuf-du-Pape with aromas of cherries, strawberries, dried herbs, tar, and baking spices. Full-bodied with fine tannins. Succulent and well composed. There’s elegance here, yet it has character and structure. Seductive and flavorful with a long finish."

Jeb Dunnuck — 92–94 Points (Barrel Sample)
"The 2023 Châteauneuf-du-Pape will be beautiful, with a charming, soft, supple, forward style. Ripe red and black fruits, peppery herbs, and lavender notes all define the bouquet, and it hits the palate with medium-to-full-bodied richness, a layered, elegant mouthfeel, and sweet tannins. Based on 75% Grenache, 10% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre, and the rest Cinsault — 50% destemmed and raised entirely in foudre. It’s clearly outstanding and another classic release from this brilliant estate."

About Le Vieux Donjon

Le Vieux Donjon is one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s most celebrated and consistent family estates, owned and farmed by the Michel family for generations. The domaine takes its name from the ancient papal tower — the “old dungeon” — that overlooks their vineyards in the heart of the appellation. Farming organically on the iconic galets roulés — the large rounded stones that retain heat and reflect sunlight onto the vines — Le Vieux Donjon produces Grenache-dominant blends of extraordinary depth, complexity, and age-worthiness. The estate is widely regarded as a benchmark Châteauneuf-du-Pape producer, consistently earning top scores from the world’s leading critics vintage after vintage.

Winemaker Description

Bright powder-pink with silver highlights. The nose offers a delicate bouquet of roses and red fruit, evolving toward tangy notes. On the palate, beautiful balance of freshness, liveliness, and deliciousness — strawberry and peach with tension and a long, saline, mineral finish. A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah, harvested early morning to preserve fruit freshness and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

Chateau Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé Organically Farmed 2025 750ml

Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé — Provence 2025

Château Miraval is the benchmark of Provence rosé — a 1,200-acre estate near the village of Correns, just north of Brignoles, in the heart of the appellation. The vineyards sit on clay and limestone soils, partially terraced at an average elevation of 350 meters, with significant day-to-night temperature swings that preserve the natural acidity and aromatic precision that define the Miraval style. Farmed organically, the estate blends Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Rolle into a rosé of exceptional refinement and consistency. The 2025 vintage was shaped by intense summer heat and early maturity — smaller-than-average berries with concentrated, expressive aromatics and the characteristic freshness of Provence. The result is one of the finest Miraval rosés in recent memory.

The color is an elegant, bright pale pink with silvery undertones. The nose is refined and captivating: a superb aromatic bouquet of white flowers, grapefruit, and white peach, with saline and lemony hints that signal the minerality to come. On the palate, it is ample, fresh, and luscious — vibrant white-fleshed fruit punctuated by saline and citrus notes that underscore its freshness and impart a beautiful, stony minerality. The finish is clean, long, and irresistibly Provençal. Serve well-chilled at 44–48°F.
