Marietta Cellars has been crafting their Old Vine Red blend in Sonoma County since 1980, releasing it in numbered lots — each one a unique expression of the vintage. In 2002, Marc started his first winemaking project on the ground floor of his grandparents' family home in the historic center of Gandesa. Until 2011 he worked alone, making a single wine, Borretes, a varietal Cariñena. That year Lluís joined the project, the two began signing as Celler Balart, and they started producing Garnachas and growing the range. In 2020 they moved to new, more efficient facilities. Today Marc manages the vineyards, Lluís runs sales, and together they share responsibility for the winemaking.
Àmfora Blanc is 100% Garnatxa Blanca from Terra Alta in Catalonia, rested in terracotta amphorae, a method that dates back to Roman times. The clay adds a citrusy, mineral edge to the grape's natural orchard fruit.

The story of Domaine de la Janasse began in 1967. That year, Aimé Sabon returned from his military service. He took over the vineyards of his father, who supplied grapes to a cooperative cellar, and his father-in-law, who sold wine to négociants. By 1973, Aimé had built his own cellar. This is how Domaine de la Janasse was born, named after the family farm located in Courthézon, at a place called “La Janasse.” Aimé was ambitious. Knowing he possessed a fabulous terroir, he continuously expanded the estate by acquiring new parcels. From 15 hectares back then, La Janasse now spans over 90 hectares.
The 2024 Côtes-du-Rhône Réserve is a more serious effort than the estate’s regular Côtes-du-Rhône bottling, showcasing Janasse’s ability to marry richness with finesse. Rosa Cusiné is made from Grenache planted at altitude and grown organically and biodynamically in our vineyards in the Penedès.
Harvested by hand and in small boxes to avoid oxidation of the must. After arrival at the winery the grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at 16°C for 16 days. After fermentation, contact with the fine lees is maintained for 3 months with daily bâtonnage.
It is not aged in barrels and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle according to the traditional method, with a minimum ageing period of 48 months.

THE STORY: We’re thrilled to share the latest release of Boutanche! This release is a new, fresh and lively blend. After several years of farming and making wine from our Fox Hill Vineyard, we've gained a deeper understanding of the site and its fruit, especially Sangiovese, which truly shines here. This new bottling is built around that very Sangiovese, which makes up 50% of the blend. All grapes were naturally fermented using whole clusters, with a portion undergoing carbonic maceration, then gently pressed and aged for 9 months in a mix of concrete and neutral barrique.
The result? A wine that’s fresh, vibrant, juicy, and surprisingly refined - perfect for any gathering. Like all wines under the Boutanche label, it's all about enjoyment, and you'll be glad it comes in a liter because it disappears quickly. Its pale color is slightly salmony. The complex and intense nose reveals fine notes of peaches and mangos. The beautiful liveliness and persistence of the aromatic notes at the end of the palate make this a very crunchy wine. A minty finish sublimates its beautiful freshness.
Billy Norris of Vinous writes | The 2023 Rosé Lampe de Meduse is dark and alluring on the nose, displaying watermelon, red berry fruit and orange peel aromas. Rounded and honeyed on the palate, there's just enough acidity to propel this past the finish line. Rosemary and thyme hints hang around after the close, kicking this wine more into the savory spectrum than I expected. This is interesting and characterful. Drinking 2024 - 2025.

This wine is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 20% Syrah. The nose on this wine starts ripe, it is riper than its younger 2019 brother, the Cuvee Samuel. The blend is different as well, and there is much more oak on the Marco. The nose on this wine is ripe, it feels like a Cali Rhone wine more than how the 19 Samuel felt, with black and blue fruit, sweet oak, soy sauce, ripe plum, floral notes, dark and brooding, with roasted animal, and loam. The mouth on this full-bodied wine is ripe, balanced, with good acidity, blackcurrant, blackberry, boysenberry, nice draping tannin, sweet oak, loam, and black tea. The finish on this wine is ripe, with dense black fruit, loam, mushroom, graphite, milk chocolate, and nice smoke.

Vinous 98 Points | Bollinger’s 2014 La Grande Année is a great way to start the evening as guests mill around Wheeler Farms. It is early evening in Napa, but there is still plenty of action in the winery, where various lots are being pressed under the watchful eye of winemaker Nigel Kinsman. There are some moments where I would very much like to be a civilian, a regular person enjoying the night, but I am more concerned with our guests having a great night, so I quickly go back to check on our wines. The Bollinger 2014 is everything I expected; bright, focused and full of all the energy this late-ripening vintage conferred to the best wines.
La Grande Année: The Great Year. This Champagne is the embodiment of everything that makes Bollinger the producer that stands apart in Champagne. La Grande Année symbolizes the word “hand-crafted” so strongly that an overused word suddenly becomes the appropriate definition.
