Jeio is the Prosecco DOC line from Bisol, one of the Valdobbiadene region’s most storied families — named in honor of Desiderio Bisol, the patriarch whose wife affectionately called him “Jeio.” Desiderio was a visionary: he sought out only the steepest, most difficult-to-farm plots in the region, believing that the challenge of the terrain produced Glera of exceptional quality. His instinct was right. The Glera grown on these high-altitude sites outside Valdobbiadene is especially rich in malic acid, giving the wine a dynamic, evolved character that sets it apart from ordinary Prosecco. Otto's Constant Dream Sauvignon Blanc is estate grown by Hunter's Estate and sustainably farmed from vines planted in the 1980s and 1990s. Fruit comes from two corners of Marlborough: Rapaura, where free-draining soils produce very pretty wines, and Omaka, where higher clay content gives more power on the palate.

Description

The nose shows aromatic blueberry and plum backed by pepper and vanilla. On the palate, the wine shows good body, with baked plums and dark cherries, with secondary notes of roasted almonds, toasted cedar, and hazelnuts, finishing long with fine, soft tannins.
