About Juggernaut

Juggernaut is a California Cabernet Sauvignon brand built around a single idea: that the best hillside fruit — grown at elevation, with poor soils and natural stress — produces wines of exceptional concentration, structure, and age-worthiness. Sourced from hillside vineyards along California’s North Coast, Juggernaut Hillside Cabernet is crafted to deliver the power and complexity of a serious Napa Cab at a fraction of the price. Bold, structured, and built to age, it has quickly become a go-to for Cabernet lovers who want more than the average California red.

Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 750ml

Producer Notes

Koonunga Hill is one of Penfolds’ most beloved and enduring wines — a benchmark for approachable, everyday Australian red. The Shiraz brings plenty of dark fruit while the Cabernet Sauvignon adds cool, lifted aromatics. Deep crimson with red brick hues, the nose reveals preserved plums, fresh mulberry, cherry compote, milk chocolate, baking spices, fresh bay leaf, white pepper, and licorice. The palate is succulent with refreshing acidity and subtle tannins. Ripe red fruits offer richness on the mid-palate, with dark cherry, pomegranate, and cranberry. A savory, umami edge adds complexity. Softly textured, medium-bodied, and very approachable.

Indaba Chenin Blanc 2024 South Africa 750ml

Indaba Chenin Blanc — Western Cape, South Africa 2024

Indaba — the Zulu and Xhosa word for a gathering or meeting of minds — was founded on the belief that great South African wine should be accessible to everyone. Sourced from the Western Cape, where Chenin Blanc has thrived for centuries as the country's most widely planted white variety, this bottling captures everything that makes the grape so beloved in its adopted homeland: freshness, generosity, and effortless drinkability.

The 2024 pours a bright, pale gold. The nose is inviting and fruit-forward — honeyed pear, golden delicious apple, and luscious tropical fruit with a lift of citrus blossom. On the palate, it's full and richly textured yet finishes clean and crisp, with a dash of citrus and a subtle mineral thread that keeps it lively and refreshing from first sip to last.

"South Africa's signature white — vibrantly infused with honeyed pear, golden apple, and tropical fruit with a clean, crisp finish." — Indaba Winemaker

Vincent Cuillier No.2 Montagne de Reims Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2021 750ml

92 Points by Antonio Galloni, Vinous

The 2021 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Montagne de Reims No. 2, from vines in Villers-Marmery, is bright and very nicely sculpted. Lemon peel, white flowers, dried herbs, chalk and white pepper all race out of the glass. This Blanc de Blancs really sizzles with tension and salivating energy. The No.2 is the only wine in the range that incorporates some purchased fruit. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: March 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Biodynamic 2022 375ml HALF BOTTLE

Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon Biodynamic — Napa Valley 2022 Half Bottle

Grgich Hills Estate is one of Napa Valley's most storied wineries, founded by Miljenko "Mike" Grgich — the Croatian-born winemaker whose 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay famously defeated the French at the 1976 Judgment of Paris. Today, the estate farms entirely biodynamically and organically, producing wines of remarkable purity and terroir expression. This 375ml half bottle of their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect introduction to one of Napa's great estates — or an ideal companion for an intimate dinner.

The 2022 growing season was defined by drought and patience. Rainfall came early — in October and December of 2021 — leaving a dry spring and summer. An intense heat wave in early September pushed sugar levels dramatically, but the Grgich team waited for cooler temperatures and balanced ripeness before harvesting. The result is a wine of concentration and elegance in equal measure.

The nose is rich and captivating: dark black currant, plum, and blackberry take center stage, joined by cedar, clove, and a touch of lavender. On the palate, it is full-bodied with layered dark fruit, firm but polished tannins, and a long, structured finish that speaks to Napa's finest terroir.

Château Haut Queyran is a Cru Bourgeois estate in the Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, producing structured, terroir-driven reds from the classic Bordeaux varieties — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The Cru Bourgeois classification, reinstated in 2020 after rigorous quality audits, recognizes estates that consistently deliver quality above their price point. At under $30, Haut Queyran represents one of the most compelling value propositions in the Médoc, offering genuine Bordeaux structure and aging potential without the grand cru price tag.

Plumpjack Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 750ml

Expert Review - Vintage 2021

Vinous 95 Points | The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is rich, racy and super-expressive. Silky and deep, with notable resonance, the 2021 offers up dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol, new leather and licorice. Today, it is a very young wine in need of cellaring, but its potential is evident. Dollops of Petit Verdot and Malbec round out the blend. This should be positively stellar.

Winemaker Description

The nose of the 2021 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon leads with juicy fruits – black cherry, boysenberry, blackberry jam, and muddled mixed berries. The fruit is layered with fresh mint, sage, and iron filings. These aromas are complemented by warming spices, vanilla, and cocoa nib. The palate has a beautiful, velvety texture with plush tannin and an enduring finish with impressions of espresso and dark chocolate.

Shafer Vineyards | Napa, CA 94558

Exceptional Critical Acclaim - 2021 Vintage

Decanter - 99 Points
"Such a beautifully balanced wine with tremendous staying power and expressive Stags Leap ironstone minerality with heady sagebrush and conifer notes with white pepper and walnut husk. The wine has an impressive depth of red-toned fruit on the mid-palate framed by tannins that practically dance across the palate, exuding length, tension, and power. Huckleberry and black cherry fruits, black truffle, dried violets, graphite, and salted dark chocolate are all framed by racy acidity, which keeps everything fresh and lifted."

James Suckling - 99 Points
"Incredibly ripe, delicious and structured, this age-worthy, collectible wine puts a lot of power in a velvety, refined package. Deep, concentrated black cherries, blackberries, dried blueberries, espresso and creme de cassis are wrapped in a full body and fine-grained, supple tannins strong enough to call for further aging of at least a few years."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 99 Points
"It's a big, ripe wine, weighing in at 15.5% alcohol, but it remains harmonious from front to back. Deep, intense aromas of black cherries and cassis are accented by dried spices on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is rich and textural, showing tremendous intensity and length on the finish."

Vinous - 99 Points
"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is insanely beautiful. It's also one of the very finest wines I have ever tasted here. Bright, pliant and resonant, the 2021 offers a beguiling mix of Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics, generous fruit and gentle structure. The stylistic shift at Shafer has been remarkable—the 2021 is a great example. Red-toned fruit, blood orange, menthol, pine and sweet spice build into the eternal finish."

Jeb Dunnuck - 98+ Points
"You can safely put the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select up with the top vintages of this cuvée, yet it's much more in the style of say, the 2010 or 2018, than a more opulent year, and is going to demand bottle age. Sensational amounts of cassis, graphite, darker chocolate, graphite, tobacco, and a Pauillac-like lead pencil character all define this ultra-classic, focused, structured 2021. The purity is world class. Hide bottles for 5-7 years minimum, and it will evolve for 40+ years."

Wine Enthusiast - 97 Points
"Profound and full-bodied with an intensity of aromas and flavors, this sophisticated and ample Cabernet Sauvignon has become one of the region's icons. Abundant, fine tannins and a lengthy finish mean the wine will continue to develop with age, but will also benefit from another several years in bottle."

Wine Spectator - 93 Points
"Juicy and direct, with a solidly built core of cassis and blackberry preserves lined with cocoa, singed tobacco and warm earth hints. Best from 2025 through 2038."

About Robert Mondavi Private Selection

Robert Mondavi Winery is one of California’s most iconic and influential wine estates, credited with putting Napa Valley on the world wine map. Faust Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 375ml HALF BOTTLE

Faust Cabernet Sauvignon — Napa Valley 2023

Faust is one of Napa Valley’s most compelling Cabernet estates — a project rooted in the belief that great wine speaks distinctly of place. Named for the legendary scholar who pursued knowledge and excellence above all else, Faust channels that same relentless ambition into every vintage. The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 20 months in 25% new French oak — a restrained approach that preserves the purity and minerality of the fruit rather than masking it with wood. The 2023 vintage was a cool year in Napa, and Faust is a cool-climate estate: the combination produced a wine of real nerve, structure, and approachability, with ample aging potential. As Estate Director Jen Beloz puts it: “There is purity, intensity, and a savory minerality to every vintage.”

The color is a deep, concentrated ruby. The nose is refined and expressive: red and dark fruit, crushed stones, dried herbs, flowers, and a whisper of salt-cured meat — a savory complexity that sets Faust apart from the valley’s more opulent styles. On the palate, it is tightly woven with a silken mouthfeel — earthy red and black fruits, leafy underbrush, tobacco, and chocolate, framed by fine tannins, balanced structure, and a succulent, minerally finish of outstanding length. Medium to full-bodied, structured, and built to age.

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2023

James Suckling — 96 Points
“Aromas of red and dark fruit, crushed stones, dried herbs, flowers and salt-cured meat. The palate is tightly woven with a silken mouthfeel, fine tannins and a succulent, minerally finish. A wine of real nerve and approachability young, with ample aging potential. A good example of what a cool vintage in a cool appellation can produce.”

Jeb Dunnuck — 91 Points
“Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 20 months in 25% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is solid, offering earthy red and black fruits intermixed with leafy underbrush, tobacco, and chocolate. It’s medium to full-bodied, has a balanced mouthfeel, and shows the more structured style of the vintage with outstanding length.”

Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2023 750ml

Daou Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2023 — Paso Robles, California

Daou Vineyards is one of Paso Robles’ most ambitious estates, founded by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou on a dramatic hilltop site in the Adelaida District — one of the appellation’s coolest, most limestone-rich growing areas. Since their first vintage, Daou has pursued a singular vision: to produce Cabernet Sauvignon that rivals Napa Valley at a fraction of the price. The 2023 vintage continues that mission with a wine of genuine complexity and cellar-worthy structure.

The 2023 opens with heady aromas of black plum, Zante currant, frankincense, and sage, followed by trailing scents of blackberry, cardamom, and espresso bean with accents of vanilla, saddle leather, and cinnamon toast. On the palate, fine-grained tannins provide structure for rich flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and mulberry, with secondary layers of black olive, sandalwood, and dark chocolate. The finish is velvety and long, with lingering impressions of chocolate-covered cherry, dried herbs, and toasty oak. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 91 points, noting “clean lines of cherry, toasted wood, red flower and a pinch of thyme.”

Wine Enthusiast 91 — “The palate pairs familiar blackberry flavors with mocha spice. A satisfying, widely available bottling.”

Ferrari Carano Cabernet Sauvignon Sonomay County 2022 750ml

Ferrari-Carano Cabernet Sauvignon — Sonoma County 2022

Ferrari-Carano is one of Sonoma County’s most celebrated family-owned wineries, founded in 1981 by Don and Rhonda Carano on the benchlands of Dry Creek Valley. Over four decades, they have built a reputation for estate-driven wines of exceptional quality and consistency — wines that express the warmth, generosity, and complexity of Sonoma County at its best. The Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is their benchmark red: a bold, structured wine sourced from select Sonoma County vineyards and crafted by Senior Red Winemaker Rebecka Deike. The 2022 is a distinctive blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Syrah — an unconventional but inspired combination that adds plush texture and savory depth to the classic Cabernet framework. James Suckling awarded it 92 points; Wine Enthusiast 91 points.

The color is a deep, concentrated ruby. The nose is rich and layered: damson plums, tobacco leaves, cedar, and licorice, with concentrated aromas of roasted cherry, cocoa powder, and black pepper adding complexity and intrigue. On the palate, it is full-bodied and generous — firmly framed tannins, a plush mouthfeel, and flavors of blackberry, licorice, and toasty barrel spices that linger along a neatly balanced finish. Fruity yet savory, structured yet approachable — very generous and giving for the price.

Clos des Fous Grillos Cantores Cabernet Sauvignon Alto Cachapoal 2021 750ml

Expert Review — Vintage 2021

Vinous 90 Points | The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Grillos Cantores hails from Requínoa in the Cachapoal Andes region. After a year in concrete vats, this bright purple wine unfolds currant and sweet briar notes along with a faintly balsamic layer. Dry, polished and light, this easygoing red offers fine-grained tannins with a lasting fruity/herbal finish — an unexpectedly light Cabernet from Cachapoal.

About Clos des Fous
  • Clos des Fous founders
  • Young vines at Clos des Fous

Clos des Fous ("Enclosure of the Madmen") was founded in 2008 by four friends — including world-renowned terroir expert Pedro Parra — who were tired of hearing that Chilean wine was boring and industrial. They set out to make exciting wines from extreme terroirs with minimal intervention. Pedro holds a Ph.D. in terroir science and consults globally with vignerons like Jean-Marc Roulot.

The name "Grillos Cantores" means "Singing Crickets," a nod to the sound that fills this specific vineyard in Alto Cachapoal at the foot of the Andes.

Tasting & Pairings

Dark fruits (blackberry, plum), currant, sweet briar, and a faintly balsamic layer. Dry, polished, and surprisingly light-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a herbal finish. Serve at cellar temperature.

  • Grilled lamb with rosemary — herbal notes in the wine mirror the seasoning.
  • Steak with chimichurri — the wine's acidity stands up to vinegar and herbs.
  • Aged cheddar — tannins cut through the fat in hard, salty cheeses.

Alvaro Palacios PRIORAT Camins del Priorat Priorat 2024 750ml

Álvaro Palacios | Camins del Priorat | Priorat DOQ | Catalonia, Spain | 2024

Álvaro Palacios is one of Spain's most celebrated winemakers, the visionary who put Priorat on the world map with his legendary L'Ermita and Finca Dofí. Camins del Priorat — "paths of Priorat" — is his entry into the appellation, but make no mistake: this is a serious wine crafted with the same philosophy and terroir access that defines the estate. The 2024 vintage, a cooler year, yielded a particularly elegant and balsamic expression.

The blend leans into Garnacha (40%) and Cariñena (20%), with Syrah (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Merlot (5%), and a small addition of white grapes — Garnacha Blanca, Picapoll Blanc, and Pedro Ximénez (5%) — adding aromatic lift. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, oak, and concrete, with 28 days of maceration and four months in barriques and oak vats.

Deep purple in the glass, the nose is balsamic and minty with resin, violets, and dark berry. On the palate, warm mulberry, plum, and lingonberry are framed by cinnamon, dried lavender, sage, and sweet paprika, with graphite and cocoa powder accents. Fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity give it a stylish, palate-cleansing finish with excellent length. Juicy, velvety, and built to drink now through 2036.

  • Producer: Álvaro Palacios
  • Appellation: Priorat DOQ, Catalonia, Spain
  • Blend: 40% Garnacha, 20% Cariñena, 20% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% white grapes

  • Aging: 4 months in barriques and oak vats
  • Drink: Now through 2036
  • Production: ~175,000 bottles
  • Size: 750ml
Critical Acclaim - Vintage 2024
  • Wine Spectator — 93 pts: Warm mulberry, plum and lingonberry with cinnamon, dried lavender, graphite and cocoa. Fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity. Stylish and appealing with good length. Drink now through 2036.
  • Wine Advocate (Luis Gutiérrez) — 92 pts: Juicy and velvety with finesse and drinkability. Very balsamic and minty nose with hints of resin and violets. Textured and fruit-driven.

Albert Boxler Pinot Blanc 2020 750ml

Importer Description

This Pinot Blanc is a masterful display of subtlety and refinement. Honeysuckle, peaches, and stone don’t shout at, but whisper seductively to your nose and palate." - Kermit Lynch.

Coming from vines located mainly at the bottom of hillsides and on granite soil, this Pinot Blanc borders on insolence in its elegance and deliciousness. It is very far from the classic style that is often found in Alsatian Pinot Blancs, which is quite simple. Here, Jean Boxler has done a real job in the vineyards as well as in the winemaking where we feel a much finer and more mineral side.

On the palate, the attack is precise, there is, as with his Sylvaner, a beautiful maturity that brings a real delicacy. The wine has a sensual texture, very silky, no aggressiveness emerges.

This is really not just a simple Pinot Blanc, it is extraordinarily long, precise and delicious.

Scattered Peaks Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 750ml

Expert Review — Vintage 2022
James Suckling — 90 Points | This full-bodied red has notes of currants, cocoa, licorice, and orange peel on the nose. It's fruity, plummy, and zesty with fluid tannins. Drink now.
Winemaker's Notes

The 2022 vintage in Napa Valley is defined by exceptional structure, deep ruby color, and luxurious, velvety tannins. Unique weather events throughout the growing season coaxed the full spectrum of flavors Napa Valley is celebrated for — from crisp and vibrant to dense and powerful.

On the palate, Scattered Peaks delivers a rich tapestry of ripe black cherry, plum, and wild berry, layered with subtle notes of cassis, violet, and dark cocoa. The finish is long, indulgent, and impeccably balanced — a testament to the terroir and craft behind every bottle.
