Domaine de la Chaise Touraine Sauvignon 2024 750ml

Domaine de la Chaise Touraine Sauvignon Blanc — Loire Valley 2024

Domaine de la Chaise’s Touraine Sauvignon is a textbook expression of the Loire Valley’s most celebrated white grape — and the 2024 vintage is a compelling argument for why Touraine remains one of France’s great white wine values. Sourced from the Clos des Roussettes vineyard in St-Georges-sur-Cher — the heart of the Touraine AOC — on argilo-calcareous soils that lend the wine its characteristic mineral tension, the wine is fermented at low temperature to preserve freshness and aromatic precision. At under $13, it is one of the most exciting values in all of the Loire.

The color is a brilliant golden yellow. The nose is expressive and aromatic: exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit, and white peach with a lifted, fresh character. On the palate, it is round and generous in attack, with well-balanced acidity and a clean, mineral finish. It delivers the kind of bright, food-friendly pleasure that only great Loire Sauvignon can — and it drinks beautifully right now.

  • Producer: Domaine de la Chaise, St-Georges-sur-Cher, Loire Valley, France
  • Vintage: 2024
  • Appellation: Touraine AOC
  • Vineyard: Clos des Roussettes — argilo-calcareous soils
  • Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc
  • ABV: 12.5%
  • Size: 750ml
  • Tasting Notes: Pineapple, passion fruit, white peach, exotic fruit, mineral finish
  • Best Paired With: Oysters, grilled fish, seafood, goat cheese, light salads, aperitif

A single-vineyard Loire Sauvignon at an honest price — Domaine de la Chaise is the benchmark for what everyday Touraine can be.

Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough New Zealand 2024 750ml

Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc — Marlborough, New Zealand 2024

Marlborough is the spiritual home of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc — and Monkey Bay is one of its most reliably delicious ambassadors. Sourced from the sun-drenched vineyards of Marlborough's famous Wairau Valley, where cool nights and long sunny days create the ideal conditions for vibrant, aromatic whites, Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc is everything the region does best: clean, fresh, expressive, and effortlessly drinkable. It is distinctively New Zealand in character — unapologetically aromatic, fruit-forward, and made for the table.

The nose is bright and inviting with lifted aromas of passionfruit, grapefruit, fresh-cut grass, and white peach. On the palate, it is clean and refreshing with lovely tropical fruit flavors — passionfruit, citrus, and a hint of gooseberry — balanced by crisp, mouthwatering acidity and a clean, mineral-tinged finish. Light-bodied and easy drinking, it is the kind of wine that disappears from the glass before you know it.

Craggy Range Sauvignon Blanc Te Muna Road Vineyard Martinborough New Zealand 2025 750ml

Craggy Range | Sauvignon Blanc | Te Muna Road Vineyard | Martinborough | 2025

Most New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc comes from Marlborough — high-acid, pungent, and immediately recognizable. Te Muna Road is something different. Craggy Range’s single-vineyard site sits in Martinborough, on the southern tip of the North Island, where a cooler, more continental climate and river-stone soils produce a Sauvignon Blanc of genuine texture and mineral complexity. Wine Spectator awarded it 93 points.

The nose opens with white flowers, blossom, freshly cut peach, and passionfruit — aromatic and expressive without being aggressive. On the palate, key lime, preserved lemon, and kiwifruit are bright and precise, threaded through with a saline minerality that the river stones of Te Muna Road impart in a way no winemaking technique can replicate. Fresh, elegant, and textural, with a mouthwatering frame and a long, clean finish.

🇳🇿 Wine Spectator 93 — “Intense key lime, lemongrass and pear flavors are fleshy, bright and precise, showing details of tangerine, kiwifruit and grapefruit, with sleek notes of saline and green tea, plus a hint of white pepper on a mouthwatering frame.”
  • Producer: Craggy Range, Martinborough, New Zealand
  • Vintage: 2025
  • Appellation: Martinborough
  • Vineyard: Te Muna Road Vineyard (single vineyard)
  • Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
  • Size: 750ml
  • Drink Window: Now – 2028
  • Tasting Notes: White flowers, peach, passionfruit, key lime, preserved lemon, kiwifruit, saline minerality
  • Best Paired With: Oysters, grilled sea bass, goat cheese, Thai green curry, Vietnamese summer rolls

The Sauvignon Blanc for people who think they don’t like Sauvignon Blanc — Te Muna Road is Martinborough’s finest argument for the North Island.

Chateau La Rame Bordeaux Blanc Sec 2025 750ml

Our Professional Review

Rand Sieger, 67 Wine Buyer: A fresh, bright Bordeaux Blanc with aromas of citrus and white stone fruits backed by subtle herbs and bracing minerality. Incredible complexity for an amazing price!

About the Wine Château La Rame is among the oldest and most renowned properties in the Sainte-Croix-du-Mont appellation, situated on a hill overlooking the Garonne River, 25 miles southeast of Bordeaux. While the estate is world-famous for its sweet wines, this "Sec" (dry) bottling is a sommelier favorite for its oyster-shell minerality and electric freshness.

95% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sémillon from hillside clay-limestone soils blessed with an exceptional substratum — a bed of fossilized oysters dating from the Tertiary era. Vines average 25 years old. Manual harvest, fermented in temperature-controlled vats, and aged 6 months on fine lees.

Tasting & Pairings

Citrus, white stone fruit, subtle herbs, and bracing oyster-shell minerality. Crisp, vibrant, and electric with impressive complexity for the price.

  • Fresh oysters, mussels, or moules frites — the fossilized oyster terroir meets actual oysters. A perfect match.
  • Grilled white fish with lemon and sea salt — the classic Bordeaux Blanc pairing.
  • Goat cheese (chèvre) — the acidity and minerality cut through creamy cheese beautifully.

Loveblock Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2024 750ml

Loveblock | Sauvignon Blanc | Marlborough, New Zealand | 2024 | Organic

Loveblock is a certified organic winery founded by Kim and Erica Crawford — yes, that Erica Crawford, co-founder of the iconic Kim Crawford wine brand — on their estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. After selling Kim Crawford Wines, Erica returned to her passion for sustainable, organic viticulture and launched Loveblock as a vehicle for producing wines of genuine terroir expression and environmental integrity. The estate is certified organic, and every decision in the vineyard and winery is guided by a commitment to the land and to producing wines of exceptional quality and character.

Marlborough is New Zealand's most celebrated wine region and the spiritual home of Sauvignon Blanc — a place where the combination of intense sunshine, cool nights, and free-draining stony soils produces wines of extraordinary aromatic intensity, vibrant acidity, and distinctive saline minerality. Loveblock's Sauvignon Blanc draws on fruit from across the region to produce a wine of complexity and elegance that goes well beyond the category norm.

The 2024 is pale straw with a hint of green and gold. The nose is complex and elegant — citrus blossom, wild flowers, crushed ripe herbs, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit zest, and sliced peach. On the palate, medium- to full-bodied and chiseled, with a dense fruit core of juicy melon and peach, vibrant fleshy fruit, toasted herbs, green tea, ginger, lime zest, and a saline, umami-tinged finish. Beautifully rounded with layer upon layer of texture and a long, complex, mineral finish.

Pair with oysters, seafood, spaghetti alle vongole, grilled fish, goat cheese, and chicken.

Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc 2024 750ml

Expert Reviews - Vintage 2024

The Tasting Panel 94 Points by Meridith May | A bright, clear perfume of baby’s Breath and pink grapefruit. Sweet basil punctuates flavors of star fruit, honeyed peach, and lime zest. One of the more jubilant Sauv Blancs we tasted in the past 12 months, and surely over-delivers for the price.

The Wine Enthusiast by Christina Pickard writes 89 Points | This is a rich, heady wine that combines all the punchy passionfruit, citrus, white peach and green garden veg aromas and flavors we’ve come to know and love from this famous style. The texture plays nicely with mouth-watering acidity, finishing on a dried herbal note

The Wine Spectator by MaryAnn Worobiec writes 89 Points | Vibrant, aromatic and generous, with notes of pear, ginger, lime sherbet and passion fruit. Orange blossom, Honeycrisp apple, lime zest and celery salt details linger. In appearance, it's a pale lime to straw color. Notes of kaffir lime, passionfruit pulp and lemon zest dominate the nose. The palate features concentrated citrus and tropical fruits with a salivating acidity.

Enjoy with ceviche, fresh oysters and poached chicken salad.

Chateau des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2023 750ml

Winemaker Description

The Bordeaux Blanc from Antonins is a surprisingly crisp and zesty white wine. Reds often garner all of the attention in Bordeaux, but this is a "year-round" white that is great to have on hand to enjoy anytime.

Memo Summary Notes

Varietals - 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon

The Château des Antonins Bordeaux Blanc 2023 is a standout example of a modern, accessible Bordeaux white. Produced at an estate with roots dating back to a 13th-century monastery, this vintage strikes a beautiful balance between historic terroir and vibrant, "New World" aromatic intensity.

The estate was originally an abbey for the Monks of Saint Anthony.

Winemaker Antoine de Roquefeuil spent time honing his craft in New Zealand. You can taste that influence here; it has the "zing" and tropical edge of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc but retains the stony, structured backbone that only Bordeaux soil provides.

Gabrielskloof Amphora Sauvignon Blanc 2023 750ml

Critical Acclaim
  • James Suckling – 92 Points | “Grapefruit, lemongrass and golden apples on the nose, alongside salted almonds. Medium-bodied, cool and mineral, with zesty and reductive undertones. Made in clay vessels.”
Tasting Notes

A racy, flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc with green pineapple, gooseberries, and quince on the nose, alongside a refreshing salinity of ocean spray and kelp. The palate delivers green citrus, lemongrass, and litchi, with an edgy textural linearity from flint and oyster shells. Cool, mineral, and utterly distinctive.

About the Wine

The Amphora Sauvignon Blanc is part of the Gabriëlskloof Range — a selection of boutique-style wines from this acclaimed Bot River estate that consistently over-deliver on quality and value. True to its name, this wine is fermented and aged in clay amphora vessels, a winemaking technique that preserves freshness and imparts a unique mineral texture without the influence of oak. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc of striking individuality and coastal character.

Mohua Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2024 750ml

Mohua · Marlborough · New Zealand · 2024

Named after the mohua — the golden-feathered bird native to New Zealand’s South Island forests — Mohua Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that carries the spirit of its homeland in every glass. Sourced from the Lower Wairau and Southern Valleys of Marlborough, where cool, clean ferments and limited time on lees preserve every last note of aromatic freshness, this is Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at its most vibrant and expressive.

The nose bursts with bright citrus, snow pea, and pineapple, with apples, pears, peaches, and melon layered beneath. On the palate it is intense and harmonious — a thriving zing of grapefruit acidity balanced by an inviting creamy texture that melts into a long, complex finish.

95 Points – Decanter | Gold Medal – 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards

The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc 2025 750ml

The Crossings Sauvignon Blanc — Awatere Valley, Marlborough 2024

The Crossings is the calling card of the Awatere Valley — and the 2024 vintage is a textbook expression of why this windswept sub-region of Marlborough produces Sauvignon Blanc of uncommon intensity. Sourced from vineyards shaped by cool nights, relentless sunshine, and stony river soils, the wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve the vivid, aromatic purity that defines this style. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 88 points, calling it "poolside sipping right here." At $12.99, it is one of New Zealand's most honest overachievers.

The nose is immediate and expressive: pineapple, passionfruit, lime leaf, flowering herbs, and fresh-cut grass. On the palate, it is dry and focused with concentrated tropical fruit, bright citrusy acidity, and a pithy, mineral finish that lingers cleanly. It delivers the lively energy and precision that only Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc can achieve — and it is built to be enjoyed now.

Wine Enthusiast 88 (Christina Pickard) — "A perfume of pineapple, passionfruit, lime leaf and grass offers all the hallmarks of this boisterous, crowd-pleasing style. The palate is dry and pithy in texture with a big zing of citrusy acidity to the finish." (Vintage 2024).

Our 2022 Red Mountain Sauvignon Blanc an ideal example of a perfectly balanced Red Mountain white wine—rich and full on the midpalate, bright tropical fruit flavors balanced with crisp mouthwatering acidity. The vineyard sourcing blends a newer, but well known, extremely warm growing site in Quintessence with the more established and slightly cooler Artz and Klipsun vineyard plantings from the early 1980’s. The result and complex and delicious expression of Sauvignon Blanc. On the aroma we get pineapple, lemon pith, and wet rocks. The palate is full yet crisp and refreshing — passionfruit, mango, and white peach.

Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc Awatere Valley Marlborough New Zealand 2024 750ml

Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc — Awatere Valley, Marlborough 2024

Vavasour is the founding winery of Marlborough’s Awatere Valley — a cooler, more dramatic sub-region that was once considered too extreme for vines. In 1986, Vavasour planted the first vines in this windswept southern pocket, and the gamble paid off spectacularly. Today, with the oldest vines in the valley and an intimate understanding of this unforgiving landscape, Vavasour produces Sauvignon Blanc of extraordinary elegance, perfume, and texture. Decanter awarded the 2024 vintage 91 points.

The nose is serious and expressive: fresh herbs, gooseberry, nettle, tropical fruit, and bright citrus with a rocky, salty mineral edge that speaks unmistakably of Awatere. On the palate, it is concentrated and focused — ripe stone fruit and a distinct minerality that holds up beautifully to rich, spicy foods. Vibrant, varietal, and rooted in place.

🇳🇿 Decanter 91 — “Fruity, vibrant and varietal, but also speaks of Awatere, with a rocky, salty herb quality with gooseberry and nettle notes.”
  • Producer: Vavasour, Awatere Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand
  • Vintage: 2024
  • Appellation: Awatere Valley, Marlborough
  • Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
  • Size: 750ml
  • Tasting Notes: Fresh herbs, gooseberry, nettle, tropical fruit, citrus, ripe stone fruit, rocky mineral finish
  • Best Paired With: Oysters, grilled fish, herb-crusted chicken, goat cheese, rich spicy dishes

The original Awatere Sauvignon Blanc — Vavasour is the wine that put this dramatic valley on the map.

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc Wairau Valley Marlborough 2025 750ml

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc — Wairau Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand 2025

Greywacke is the personal project of Kevin Judd — the winemaker who spent two decades building Cloudy Bay into one of the world's most recognized Sauvignon Blanc brands before striking out on his own. Named after the hard, dark stone that forms the riverbeds of Marlborough, Greywacke is a small-production estate focused on wines of genuine depth and site specificity. The Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc is their benchmark expression: harvested largely by machine during cool, often cold night-time conditions, picked earlier than normal over a three-week period commencing 16 March, transported directly to the winery in the Omaka Valley, lightly pressed for high-quality juice, and left on lees on individual vineyard batches until late June before blending. Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with the volume turned down a notch — and all the better for it.

The 2025 pours a pale, luminous gold. The nose is vibrant and aromatic — lemon blossom, honeydew melon, orange blossom, passion fruit, white pineapple, kumquat, and lime sherbet, delicately infused with herb garden botanicals and a flourish of elderflower and wildflowers. On the palate, sleek and smooth with mid-palate richness, juicy lemon, steely cassis, beeswax, brine, and a generously textured finish with impressive structure and depth. Crunchy New Zealand acidity, savory phenolics, and a clean, lingering close.

  • Producer: Greywacke (Kevin Judd)
  • Appellation: Wairau Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand
  • Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc
  • Vintage: 2025
  • Harvest: Night harvest; picked 16 March over 3 weeks
  • Vinification: Stainless steel; individual vineyard batches on lees until late June
  • Alcohol: 13%
  • Bottle Size: 750ml
Critical Acclaim — Vintage 2025
  • Wine Advocate — 94 pts: Leads with a soft nose of musk sticks and brine, green apple skins, wet linen and green olive tapenade. Tightly coiled yet textured by pithy phenolics. The length of flavor is long, as we have come to expect from Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc. A superb wine in any vintage.
  • James Suckling — 93 pts: Flavorful, focused and textural — papayas, limes and stones on the nose. Medium-bodied with bright acidity. Lively and succulent, with a precise palate and a long finish.

Encomienda de Cervera Vulcanus Sauvignon Blanc/Verdejo Campo de Calatrava 2025 750ml

Encomienda de Cervera Vulcanus Sauvignon Blanc/Verdejo — Campo de Calatrava 2025

Encomienda de Cervera is one of Spain’s most singular estate wineries — a historic property with documented vineyard records dating to 1741, situated in the Campo de Calatrava, a volcanic appellation in Castilla-La Mancha that remains one of the country’s best-kept secrets. The estate’s vineyards grow on volcanic soils at 750–850 meters of altitude, cooled by mountain microclimates with cold nights that preserve natural acidity and generate exceptional aromatic complexity. Vulcanus — named for the volcanic terroir that defines it — is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo, harvested selectively during the coolest hours of the day at optimal ripeness. Certified organic, the wine is fermented in restored 1927 concrete tanks that impart a distinctive creaminess through malolactic fermentation. This is Spanish white wine from a place unlike any other.

The color is a bright straw yellow. The nose is floral, fresh, and expressive: white flowers, white peach, currant, citrus, and aromatic herbs, with the stony, mineral undercurrent of volcanic soil. On the palate, it is mineral, elegant, and complex — refreshing acidity, a round and creamy mid-palate from concrete tank fermentation, and a long, clean, and satisfying finish. An explosion of sensations in perfect balance.

“Mineral, elegant and complex, with a refreshing acidity and a long and creamy aftertaste — everything perfectly harmonized, in balance, like an explosion of sensations and flavors.” — Encomienda de Cervera

"More savory and creamy than fruity, showing gooseberries, guavas and sliced apples. Fresh and round with medium body and a textured, long finish. Good energy, with a saline twist at the end. Nice phenolics and density at the end. Drink now or hold."

Jeb Dunnuck - 93 Points (91-93)
"The 2023 Domaine De La Solitude (Pessac-Léognan) Blanc will certainly be outstanding. Based on 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon, it has bright, minty herbs, citrus, and honeyed pineapple-like aromas and flavors as well as a medium-bodied, round, plush, beautifully textured style on the palate."

The Wine Independent - 92 Points (90-92)
"The 2023 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc races out of the glass with expressive scents of fresh grapefruit, crunchy peaches, and Bosc pears leading to hints of beeswax and sea spray. The medium-bodied palate is silky, with great intensity of orchard fruit flavors and a racy backbone, finishing with great length."

Decanter - 91 Points
"Earlier harvest to preserve acidity from this estate with gravel soils but thankfully cooler clays as well, resulting in an easy-going wine not without some warmth, but marked by ripe pear, peach, orange zest and lemon, more fruit forward than complex – and a pleasure to drink."

Vinous Media - 90 Points
"The 2023 Domaine de la Solitude Blanc has a cohesive and focused bouquet with green apple, kiwi fruit and light, pithy pear aromas that are neatly knitted together by the oak. The palate is a more textural white with a keen line of acidity, vibrant and fresh with a dab of ginger toward the finish."

Pessac-Léognan Terroir

The combination of gravel and clay soils provides both drainage and moisture retention, creating ideal conditions for producing exceptional white Bordeaux.

The winemaking approach preserves the natural acidity and vibrant character of the grapes while developing the wine's textural qualities and depth.

Seresin Sauvignon Blanc Biodynamic Organic Marlborough New Zealand 2023 750ml

92 James Suckling — Aromas of key lime pie, lemon confit and passion fruit on the nose. The palate is light- to medium-bodied with fresh acidity and a creamy mouthfeel, giving notes of lychees, red apples and flint. Nicely constructed and textural. (Vintage 2023).

90 Vinous — Far from your stereotypical Marlborough style. This wine plays on its clarity, texture and freshness. Aromatically subtle, with green notes meeting nectarine and blackcurrant. While the region's natural freshness abounds, the wine retains a round shape and natural curve before being sewn up by a thread of acidity. Layers of interest that will keep you coming back. (Vintage 2023).

A truly thoughtful and classy expression of Sauvignon Blanc. The nose exudes vibrancy, showing lifted notes of white passionfruit and lemon balm, supported by a savoury, leafy edge contributed by the inclusion of Sémillon. The palate is layered and textural, balanced by a slate-like mineral acidity. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees in oak barrels — a sophisticated, terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc that transcends the category.
