Sourced from estate vineyards perched on the limestone-rich soils of DAOU Mountain, the 2024 vintage is bright, aromatic, and decisively refreshing — a classily structured, elegantly styled white that punches well above its price point and earned 90 points from Wine Enthusiast.

The nose is tantalizing and complex: grapefruit, pineapple, gooseberry, quince, lemongrass, acacia, and lychee with a touch of wet stone. Echo Bay is crafted by Nick Goldschmidt, a native New Zealander with over 40 harvests of experience across four continents, whose philosophy is simple: let the vineyard speak, and get out of the way.

The result is a wine that is pure Marlborough in character. The nose bursts with passionfruit, kiwi, and mango alongside zesty lime and grapefruit, with a thread of gooseberry running through. Producer Description 

Our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of grapefruit, lime zest, white flowers, white peach, lemon grass, and orange peel. On the palate are aromas of pineapple, guava, tropical fruit, Asian pear, candied lemon, and green melon. The wine has a bright acidity and wonderful texture on the mid-palate.

 While the core of this wine is Sauvignon Blanc, the Musqué, Sémillon, and Viognier add a lot of floral notes and viscosity to this vintage. We captured these wonderful floral notes by fermenting each variety separately in concrete eggs, stainless steel drums, and tanks.

The French oak barrels, in which 10% of the wine aged in, were very lightly toasted to preserve the delicate fruity aromas and provide a creamy texture to the mid-palate of the wine.

Our 2022 Red Mountain Sauvignon Blanc an ideal example of a perfectly balanced Red Mountain white wine—rich and full on the midpalate, bright tropical fruit flavors balanced with crisp mouthwatering acidity. The vineyard sourcing blends a newer, but well known, extremely warm growing site in Quintessence with the more established and slightly cooler Artz and Klipsun vineyard plantings from the early 1980’s. The result and complex and delicious expression of Sauvignon Blanc. On the aroma we get pineapple, lemon pith, and wet rocks. The palate is full yet crisp and refreshing — passionfruit, mango, and white peach.

Domaine de Villargeau is a family estate with a story rooted in determination and a deep respect for the land. In 1991, brothers Fernand and Jean-François Thibault cleared hillsides in the Coteaux du Giennois that had lain abandoned since the phylloxera crisis, planting vines on south-southwest-facing slopes that enjoy exceptional sun exposure. The next generation followed: Marc returned to the estate in 2000 armed with formal training in viticulture and oenology, and Yves joined shortly after, bringing with him a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. That commitment culminated in 2019 when the domaine launched its full conversion to organic agriculture — a milestone that reflects the family’s long-term vision for the land.

The Coteaux du Giennois is a small, often overlooked Loire appellation situated just north of Sancerre, sharing the same chalky, flint-rich soils that give the region’s Sauvignon Blancs their signature mineral precision. Winemaker Description 

An attractive greenish-yellow colour. Its ageing in foudres has lent it citrus and green chilli pepper aromas, as well as saline notes. In the mouth, it is very structured and tense thanks to its high acidity and minerality. The finish is clean and persistent, with a subtle saline note coming through. This highly complex Sauvignon Blanc tempts you to enjoy it with food.

Block 22 is located on the first terrace of the river Huasco. It has very old, stony soils from the river which have very special qualities: a little clay and a lot of calcareous soil – lime, calcium carbonate – white soils. Characterized by low yields of grapes with very concentrated fresh fruit. In the Atacama Desert in the Huasco valley, the temperatures were fresh, especially at night. Temperatures are kept low because of the constant cool morning breezes blowing in from the Pacific Ocean, as well as the classic “Camanchaca”, a dense fog which comes in from the ocean, helping to regulate the temperatures and ensure an optimum level of humidity in the atmosphere.
