Today Glenrothes single malt is used as the heart of Cutty Sark blended whisky. Approaching the distillery your eyes are drawn to the right where the village graveyard stretches up the hill. The Grappa Riserva 7 Years Bortolo Nardini Selection is a grappa obtained from artisanal processes starting from pomace of multivitigno grapes. It ages for at least 7 years in Slavonian oak barrels.

Light amber in color, it offers rich spicy sensations of vanilla to the nose, enriched by hints of cherry and wild berries. On the palate it offers a complex, rich and persistent profile.

Ideal to be tasted neat, it is perfect to be served at the end of a meal with dry pastries.

This traditional grappa has a clear, intense golden yellow to amber color. The nose is delicate and complex, with hints of bread, orange peel, wild flowers, elderberry, vanilla, plum, dried fruits, raisins and amaretto. 

The taste is smooth, rich, velvety, tannic and harmonious, exploding at the back of the mouth with authoritative aromas and long-lasting persistence, leaving notes of vanilla, almond, cocoa, tobacco, licorice and walnut bread.

This traditional grappa has a bright, crystal clear color. The aroma is aromatic, intense, enveloping the nose with fine, fresh fragrant and delicate floral notes of breir rose petals, orange blossoms, lily of the valley, elderberry, sage, citrus fruit and typical Moscato scents.

The fruit comes through on the smooth, well-rounded palate, with apple and pineapple dominant. There are background notes of bread crust.

Laurent makes four eaux-de-vie: – two from rare, almost extinct grape varieties: Prunelard and Mauzac Rose – a Pear Williams – a Greengage Each eau-de-vie is made from organic fruits, harvested ripe then dried on mats to concentrate sugars/flavors. The dried fruits are then pealed one by one, cut in half, the pit/seeds/stalk are removed as to keep only the flesh of the ripe fruit. Only then are they crushed into a juice and fermented. On average the wine obtained is about 11% alc./ vol. 

This wine is distilled in a pot still to 66% alc./vol. Laurent bottles each eau-de-vie at 45% alc./vol after reducing the proof slowly by adjunction of demineralized water.

An indigenous grape to the Tarn region of Southwest France, the Laurent Cazottes Goutte de Mauzac Rose Eau-de-vie is one of Laurent Cazottes’ true passions. This is not a fine nor a marc, but the wine and the pomace are left together during the distillation.

Hence, this is an Eau de Vie de Raisin. Laurent Cazottes is committed to reviving these heritage varietals and the resulting spirits are pure expressions of the fruit from which they are made. Biodynamic and organic viticulture are practiced.

Perhaps the shortest lived of all Speyside distilleries, Pittyvaich—Gaelic for ‘farmstead at the birch wood’— was the innocent victim of industry restructuring. Why Four Grain?

Most bourbons use a three-grain mash bill. The addition of a fourth grain — wheat alongside the traditional corn, rye, and malted barley — adds a layer of softness and complexity that sets this release apart. It's a rare expression that showcases Buffalo Trace's mastery of grain selection and barrel aging, and one of the most sought-after limited releases in the Taylor lineup.

The Colonel E.H. Taylor Four Grain is a limited annual release with extremely restricted allocation. Bottles are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Best enjoyed neat or with a single large ice cube to allow the full complexity to unfold.

Tasting Panel 96 Points | This limited release with an exquisite perfume of brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie is awash in flavors of peach, white pepper, and sassafras. With a heavenly texture, the satin glide of liquid stays on the tongue and finishes with a buttery sensation.

MIC.DROP. L22-01 Mic Drop started as a side project enabling PM Spirits to have access to American whiskey for our New York market – at the time, we had none to sell. The first few releases happened to be MGP for no particular reason others than the fact that out of all the casks we tasted, we felt these stood out most and met the criteria for the type of releases we wanted to make happen. After the third release, we started to wonder what Mic Drop should actually stand for. We decided to use it as a brand that would shine a spotlight on distillers and barrels that we felt were particularly good. 

Our fourth release was a rye whiskey produced by Wilderness Trail, simply because to us, they may very well be the best player in that category at the moment. In the middle of 2021, we stumbled upon something very, very different when a friend suggested we taste two specific barrels. They contained bourbon that was double distilled in Louisville, Kentucky on a Vendome copper pot still with a mashbill of 60% corn, 17% wheat, 13% oats, and 10% barley. They aged in Kentucky in two 60 gallon, new American oak barrels with a #2 char for a little over seven years. Total yield was 55.1 gallons – slightly over 54% evaporation.

This bottling was obtained by dumping together the only two casks of bourbon ever made with this mashbill at this distillery. It was double distilled on a copper pot still and aged for over seven years in Louisville, Kentucky. It has been bottled at a cask strength of 58% abv, without chill filtration or added color. We can't tell you who made it. 100% of the profits from this bottling will go towards organizations advocating for gun safety in every town in America. Producer Description.

Heaven Hill - Heritage Collection 17 Year Old Barrel Proof 118.2 1st Edition. 

Heaven Hill launched the first release in its new Heaven Hill Heritage Collection which will feature one of the distillery’s six unique mashbills for release. The inaugural whiskey is a barrel-proof bourbon bottled at 118.2 proof and made using the distillery’s core bourbon mash bill of 78 percent corn, 10 percent rye, and 12 percent malted barley. The label says the whiskey is 17 years old, but that’s indicative of the youngest whiskey in the bottle, which also includes 19 and 20-year-old bourbon (the exact breakdown: 28 percent 20-year-old barrels, 44 percent 19-year-old barrels, 28 percent 17-year-old barrels).

Nose is complex yet not overwhelming. A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
